“You just hear the entire crowd go crazy as we load into our first match having no prior knowledge of what we were expecting.”
The first season of Fortnite Chapter 7 is now live. It features a new Battle Pass, loot pool, a daily quest that involves defeating bosses, and rift anomalies galore. In an interview, Ali "SypherPK" Hassan told esports.gg what he's the most excited about and more!

Interview: SypherPK on Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1
In his interview with esports.gg, SypherPK revealed that he's excited about Chapter 7 changing some of Fortnite's mechanics and introducing the new map that's based on West Coast areas such as California, Las Vegas, and Area 51. He's also interested in all of the upcoming collaborations.
"I'm extremely excited that the new chapter is going to be changing up some of the core mechanics that Fortnite has been known for. I am excited about the new map being based in the West Coast of North America, California, Vegas Area 51, all of that. It's an area that we haven't explored yet in Fortnite, and it's an area I'm very fond of," SypherPK said. "It just reminds me of games that I've played in the past -- like Grand Theft Auto, for example."
In Fortnite Chapter 7, one of the new mechanics involves the Self-Revive Device. That is, it can revive a player while they're knocked down. Another gameplay update to note is Simple Build, which is a new setting that makes learning how to build in Fortnite easier. Once selected as an option, a player simply needs to look in the direction they wish to build.

Chapter 7 also removes the Battle Bus and introduces a new way to enter the map. Instead of the one players are used to, the new method involves diving in via surfboard! SypherPK shared that his experience with it was quite exciting.
"And to get to have experienced that in LA during the early access premiere without any spoilers or any leaks was such a cool moment," he said. "Because you just hear the entire crowd go crazy as we load into our first match having no prior knowledge of what we were expecting. So it's gonna feel fresh. It's gonna feel exciting."
"I think the fans are gonna see that they're really changing things up to have a strong 2026, and I'm just excited to get back into it and start creating content like I have been for the last eight years," SypherPK added.
When will the Battle Bus return in Fortnite Chapter 7?
As for folks who miss the Battle Bus, they won't have to wait too long as it's returning on Dec. 4, according to Epic Games.
"Once the Battle Bus is back in commission on December 4, Reload will come back online with the new Surf City map, Blitz Royale will light back up with the new Starfall Island, and Ranked will return. Fortnite OG will return on December 11 with Season 7 and Delulu will return on December 12!"
