Many fans believe it’s one of the best Emotes in Fortnite history.

Few Fortnite Emotes can evoke much of a reaction out of the player base these days. They're usually a viral TikTok dance paired to a well-known song, but that's not the case with the game's new King of the Hill Emote. Anyone familiar with the show will instantly recognize and appreciate the reference.

We'd advise anyone who doesn't understand the Emote to look up what it's based on because Fortnite nailed it.

Even Fortnite-ified, the new King of the Hill Emote is incredible

The team at Epic Games rarely misses when bringing in characters from outside of Fortnite. The recent Father's Day collaboration brought lovable animated dads Hank Hill, Bob Belcher, and Cleveland Brown to the game. Although fans responded well to the collab, the Alley Hangout Emote truly stole the show.

This Emote depicts up to four players reenacting the King of the Hill show. In the original, Hank Hill, Dale Gribble, Bill Dauterive, and Boomhauer all hang out enjoying several beers to the show's theme song.

Epic Games had to change the Emote out of necessity, replacing beer with an unidentifiable beverage, but the rest remains faithful to the original. Now, you can recreate the intro using Fortnite's seemingly endless collection of characters.

Players are showcasing this new Emote to its fullest potential

Many players have taken full advantage of this possibility, and the results are hilarious. X user Murdoink has presented some incredible combinations of characters. Our personal favorite combines Mortal Kombat's Scorpion and Sub-Zero with Street Fighter's Ryu and Chun-Li.

Not many fans of these two powerhouse fighting game franchises expected these characters to coexist under these circumstances. However, Fortnite is truly full of surprises, and what you see above is just one of the infinite possibilities.

How can I get the King of the Hill Emote in Fortnite?

Fortnite's King of the Hill-inspired 'Alley Hangout' Emote is currently live in the Item Shop. You can grab it in-game or via the game's web shop for 500 V-Bucks. Once there, you will also find the Hank Hill, Bob Belcher, and Cleveland Brown skins alongside various other cosmetics.

How have King of the Hill fans reacted to the collaboration?

The King of the Hill subreddit offered a diverse range of opinions regarding the collaboration. While some feel it degrades the show, others are happy that it will bring more interest. Others said they planned to spend money on the crossover and even return to the game entirely.

Overall, these types of collaborations are undeniable regarding their effectiveness. Players unfamiliar with certain characters are bound to search for them to learn more. One thing is certain: Back in 2018, no one could have predicted the Alley Hangout would ever become an Emote.
