The 14 Days of Summer Fortnite event is nearing its end. Here’s when it will be over and what you can still grab before it’s too late!
Although the summer is still in full swing, Fortnite's annual event to celebrate the season is almost over. We have officially reached day 13 of Fortnite's 14 Days of Summer, which brought back the Ballistic Shield for just one day.
With the event winding down, this article explains when it will conclude and what's at stake if you fail to complete the various summer-themed Quests. You won't want to miss out on the free items available!
Fortnite's 14 Days of Summer ends on July 7

Monday, July 7, will officially mark the end of the 14 Days of Summer event. Although the timing is unclear, it is expected to conclude around 11:59 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, players have felt generally less excited about this year's rendition compared to those in previous years. That doesn't mean there weren't some positives, though.
For example, the Squid Game collaboration headlined the soiree alongside some daily unvaults, one of which included the beloved Pump Shotgun. Since the event is coming to a close, it's worth outlining what you stand to miss if you don't react quickly enough.

Four free cosmetics will disappear on Tuesday
The four Fortnite items depicted above will no longer be available once the 14 Days of Summer event ends on July 7. Those include a Back Bling, a Pickaxe, and two Emoticons. It's unclear whether these will hit the Item Shop in the future, but that's always a possibility.
However, free cosmetics are always better, so it's worth logging into the game and grabbing them before it's too late. To obtain all four, you must earn 16 account levels by accumulating XP via Fortnite's various game modes. Those include Zero Build, Battle Royale, and creator-made experiences.
After earning 16 account levels, you will receive the Lil Quill Back Bling, which is the final of the four. Time is ticking, so you'd better act fast before July 7 comes and goes.
What's next after the summer event ends?
Fortnite will likely revert to its regular setting once the 14 Days of Summer event is over. Although an update is possible, it's unlikely since the entire team at Epic Games will remain on their annual break until July 15.
That leaves quite the gap in any meaningful update to the game, but you can rest assured that Epic Games will bring the heat when their summer break concludes.
