The recurring Fortnite x Nike Air Jordan collaboration will soon officially introduce sneakers into the game!

One week after Fortnite leaks referenced Epic Games’ plan to introduce shoe cosmetics to the game, further confirmation has arrived. Several reputable leakers have revealed that a Fortnite x Nike Air Jordan collaboration will launch in the Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix season. Several shoes will be available for purchase as Fortnite expands the customization options for players. Here’s a complete breakdown of the Fortnite x Nike leaks.

Breaking down the upcoming Fortnite x Nike Air Jordan collaboration

ShiinaBR was the first to report this news following a recent report of Fortnite planning to introduce shoe cosmetics. Considering the partnership between Fortnite and Nike, it only made sense for the worldwide shoe brand to kick off the introduction of shoe cosmetics.

While Nike has various iconic shoe models, few can rival the Air Jordan brand. Michael Jordan’s Nike subsection has generated an incredible following over the years and some of the most sought-after sneakers. It has also appeared in Fortnite many times over the years.

ShiinaBR revealed the following details about this Fortnite x Nike Air Jordan crossover:

  • Sneakers that can be worn by many skins
  • Many different sneakers included
  • Examples: Jordan 1s, Jordan 4s, Nike Cortez
  • Released early during Fortnite: Remix

Interestingly, not every skin can wear sneakers, but that may change over time. The leaker explicitly referenced a pair of Jordans alongside the Nike Cortez, giving fans an idea of which shoes will be purchasable via the Item Shop. Lastly, the Nike Air Jordan collaboration launches in the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix season, which begins on Nov. 2.

How much will the Fortnite sneakers cost?

The critical detail missing in this report is the price of the shoes. While it’s exciting that Epic Games is adding more customization, the topic of V-Bucks is critical here. These sneakers will only cover a small portion of your character, so if these ring in at over 1,000 V-Bucks, you must decide whether they are worth the price.

This Fortnite x Nike Air Jordan crossover opens the door for other brands, such as Adidas, Puma, and even Crocs, to follow suit. That covers everything we know so far but check back here for any additional updates.
