A Fortnite x Minecraft collab could arrive this year according to a rumor in the Fortnite scene. Here’s what we know so far!
Recent rumors in the Fortnite leaks scene have indicated a potential Minecraft crossover. While unconfirmed, this report comes from a relatively new but accurate source. This individual has correctly revealed a few collabs that proved true. If this follows a similar path, Fortnite x Minecraft could become the most popular collaboration in history.
What do we know about the rumored Fortnite x Minecraft collab?
Unfortunately, the details are limited. It stems from AdiraFNInfo, a new name on the scene that emerged this year. This individual successfully disproved the Chainsaw Man collab while reporting upcoming partnerships with Adventure Time and Regular Show.
Since AdiraFN's Fortnite x Minecraft post, several other leakers, including HYPEX and ShiinaBR, have circulated the same information. The leaker responded to some questions regarding the leak, stating that they only report information when they are 90% accurate.
As far as the "when" is concerned, Adira states that it won't happen for "many months" but that it is possible for Fortnite Chapter 7. That covers what we know, but it is worth projecting what we expect when this rumored collaboration comes to fruition.
What could this collaboration possibly entail?
It's no secret that Minecraft and Fortnite are two of the most popular games in the world. The latter arguably even adopted the Minecraft concept in a collaboration with LEGO, providing a similar feel. With Fortnite partnering with everyone and everything, it was only a matter of time before Minecraft found itself in a similar position.

Since these are only rumors, it's impossible to say for sure what this could entail. Could Minecraft have its own Creative Mode in Fortnite, a la Fall Guys? Will it be something as simple as Fortnite x Minecraft skins and cosmetics? Both options are in play, but it's worth noting that the sequel to "A Minecraft Movie" is expected to be released in 2027.
That may be too soon for a movie-specific collaboration, but Fortnite usually angles these crossovers around something marketable. A good example is the recent "28 Years Later: The Bone Temple" collaboration, which arrived on Jan. 13 ahead of the film's Jan. 16 release date.
Ultimately, we'll have to wait and see how these rumors develop over the coming months, but they'll have both Fortnite and Minecraft players interested.
