Become Doctor Doom at all costs!

Fortnite players are eager to become Doctor Doom in-game, and Epic Games has heard their pleas. The game's most recent update, which went live on September 4, introduced Super Styles and new Marvel abilities.

One instant hit addition allowed players to claim a Doctor Doom-themed Rift Island and become the Marvel supervillain. It was a rare occurrence, and a Fortnite update on September 6 has temporarily increased the Doom Island's spawn frequency.

What's new in the Fortnite update on September 6?

The Fortnite Status account on X posted great news for players hoping to become Doom and achieve a "Victory Von Doom." Following the patch v31.10 update, the Doom Island spawn was rare. Streamer Nick Eh 30 tried many times during several broadcasts but only managed to find the Island a handful of times. Epic Games has changed this temporarily, so now is your time to capitalize on this unique experience.

According to the X post regarding the September 6 update, the Doom Island adjustment may only carry through the end of this weekend, but Epic Games has not explicitly confirmed this. Fortnite leaker HYPEX has reported that the spawn rate has increased from 5% to 12%.

What happens on Doom Island?

In case you haven't seen it, Doom's Island is an in-game Fortnite event that happens randomly in matches. What you can expect is a Doom-inspired Rift Island to spawn mid-match. After navigating to the Island, your next step is to claim it by standing in the designated area. If done successfully, your character will put on Doctor Doom's suit and respawn in the sky with 1,000 HP and four of the Marvel supervillain's powers.

As of the Fortnite update on September 6, you can expect to experience this event more often, presumably for a limited time. Now is your time to become Doom, so jump into Fortnite and begin your journey before the spawn rate decreases.
