Here is everything included in Fortnite’s July 19 update (Pirates of the Caribbean event).

Jack Sparrow and friends have officially invaded Fortnite via the Pirates of the Caribbean event. Dubbed "Cursed Sails," the latest update brings new skins, in-game items, and an event pass to all players. The Pirates event is currently under and will conclude on August 6. Here's a complete list of patch notes for the Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean July 19 update.

New location: Shipwrecked Shallows

Shipwrecked Shallows leads the way in the latest round of Fortnite patch notes. Although not a one-for-one replica, it's the closest we have been to Lazy Lagoon since Chapter 3. The Pirates of the Caribbean atmosphere is strong with this one, offering an eerie backdrop with massive pirate ships. You can visit this spot to obtain the new Mythic Ship in a Bottle, which we will cover next.

The shiny new item in the Fortnite July 19 update is the Ship in a Bottle. This Mythic item will spawn a massive ghost ship, which destroys anything in its path. After a brief period, the boat will disappear, leaving a chaotic scene behind. You can find the Ship in a Bottle in Chests contained within the Shipwrecked Shallows POI.

Here are some notes via Wensoing:

  • Spawns a massive moving ship which you ride on
  • You can press Jump to instigate a crash
  • During this, the ship will dive into the air and hit the ground
  • Deals 50 damage when you're hit and 5000 environmental damage

Fortnite update on July 19 features unvaulted weapons/items

While the new location and Mythic item have taken center stage, some old fan favorites have also returned in the Fortnite July 19 update. First, we have Pirate Cannons, a Chapter 1 staple. This item serves two purposes: you can shoot cannon balls from them or dive inside and shoot yourself or a teammate across the landscape.

Next, we have Buried Treasure, another Chapter 1 item that fits perfectly into the Pirates of the Caribbean event. This item spawns as a map, which provides a path to a buried treasure chest. Inside the chest, you will find lots of loot to help you on your journey to a Victory Royale.

Lastly, the beloved Flint-Knock Pistol is back. This weapon is perhaps one of the most fun to use, offering considerable damage to complement a massive blast. You can also use it to negate fall damage or to rotate across the map.

The Cursed Sails Pass has officially launched via the July 19 Fortnite update. This offering, separate from the Battle Pass, is your ticket to unlock the Jack Sparrow skin. There are two Tracks available: the Free and Premium Tracks. The Premium track costs you 1,000 V-Bucks and is the only way to unlock the Jack Sparrow skin.

There are 24 rewards overall, and you can unlock them by completing "Cursed Sails Quests." Completing these challenges will reward you with Cursed Gold, a currency exchangeable for the Cursed Pass rewards. Another reward worth mentioning is the Jack's Ship Glider, which is also free. However, this item is tied directly to the Cursed Sails "Pirate Code" Quests. You must complete the Quests to acquire eight pieces of a map.
