Fortnite just made it very clear that cheaters will not be tolerated, but also let people know that second chances will be there for those who have learned from their mistakes.
Fortnite is all about integrity and making sure everyone has a fair chance at grabbing a Victory Royale, but it is also about second chances. The popular game revealed today (February 27, 2025) in a blog post that despite its actions against specific cheaters, it will be offering first-time offenders a second chance.
Fortnite offers a second chance to first-time cheaters
Fortnite made it quite clear in its newest blog post that cheating would not be tolerated within the game's community, as it has already filed multiple lawsuits against scammers and cheaters. However, the game made it clear that those two lawsuits do not mean every cheater will have legal action taken against them.

"While maintaining game integrity is our top priority, we also believe in allowing second chances for players who made a bad decision and have learned from it," said Fortnite in its recent blog post. "Starting in April, we’ll be moving to a one-year matchmaking ban for first-time cheating offenses, allowing former cheaters to learn from their mistakes while still punishing and deterring cheating. A second offense will result in a lifetime ban."
If your year in Fortnite jail results in you learning nothing and you end up cheating again then it is a lifetime ban.
