South Park will officially arrive in Fortnite on January 9, and we now have a lineup of skins to expect in this collab!
The gang from South Park is coming to Fortnite in one of the most unlikely collaborations imaginable. Epic Games has already begun teasing this crossover, which launches on Friday, Jan. 9. Sure enough, the official key art and trailer leaked early, confirming which South Park characters will become Fortnite skins.
This article outlines every South Park character you can expect when the collaboration arrives on Jan. 9.
All confirmed South Park Fortnite skins
Epic Games had to dig deep into its playbook to make this collaboration work. The main characters in South Park are small, which makes it challenging to create in-game Outfits for them. Thankfully, the blueprint has existed since the launch of Morty from Rick and Morty.
Rather than the prototypical mech suit-based skins, Cartman and Butters, for example, will sport Awesom-O and Professor Chaos Outfits. These two versions of the characters are essentially alter-egos and brilliant references to the source material.
Stan, Kenny, and Kyle also pilot mech suits, but these references are a little less clear. Given the low-resolution trailers that have come to light thus far, it's hard to make out exactly what their suits represent. However, you can see the words "Cyborg Bill" on Stan's suit, a reference to the show.
Last but not least, the character Towelie is coming to Fortnite as a Sidekick, joining SpongeBob SquarePants and Itchy from The Simpsons. Given the context of this character in the show, it might be the most controversial addition in recent memory.

What about the rumored Mini-Pass?
All indications from leakers are that some of the skins will be available in a separate South Park Battle Pass. We've seen this before with Star Wars and TMNT events, and it will presumably operate similarly. Players may have the opportunity to unlock free cosmetics or upgrade to premium for better rewards.
It's unclear which skins will be available in the South Park Mini-Pass, but Butters may be a Premium reward, given the event's title "Born in Chaos." Whether other characters from the show are coming to Fortnite remains a mystery, but anything is possible at this point.
