With only a few weeks before his boxing debut, Fortnite pro Archie is stepping up his training in hopes of winning his first match.

The stigma that gamers are lazy is quickly becoming a notion of the past. As gaming and esports become more and more relevant in today's society, many are making sure to express their narrative for staying healthy along the way. For the Fortnite pro Archie, staying healthy was not enough.

Instead, Archie decided to up his workout routine to the competitive level; boxing. The popular gamer is set to box during the Misfits 007 Card on May 13, 2023.

From Fortnite to boxing; Archie discusses his future as a gamer and boxer

As an online influencer, making sure your fans are entertained is a big priority for the majority of creators like Archie. Always giving people some new types of content is what makes certain creators stick out from the rest.

Archie is showing why he is above and beyond other Fortnite gamers and creators.

"I'm not like any of the other gamers," said Archie in an exclusive interview. "I have fighting experience. I actually had a boxing match when I was 12, but I ended up losing that."

Some look at the professional gaming world as a dream career, but Archie has a little bit more of a "jack-of-all-trades" type of look for his life.

"I don't want to be known as a Fortnite gamer for my entire life," said Archie. "People look at me as an entertainer. I think boxing will be a great opportunity to really get my name out there."

The ability for this match to get his name out there is an understatement, as it is one of the opening fights for KSI.

Is boxing a future for many other gamers? Or is Archie an anomaly?

With so many large influencers jumping into the ring, it makes you wonder if more and more influencers and creators plan to follow suit. With icons such as Logan Paul, Myth and more making a career in the boxing world, it only seems plausible that more creators and gamers will too.

But Archie is not so sure of that.

"I really do not think many people are going to follow in my footsteps," said Archie. "It takes a lot to get in the ring, especially with only a 17 days notice. Honestly, the odds are against me. There is a good chance that I am going to lose."

The professional gamer got a quick notice from Keemstar, asking him to be on the match only a few weeks out.

"There is a lot on the line mate, and honestly, it is terrifying."

Where to watch the Misfits 007 Card (feat. Archie): Details on the upcoming match

The boxing match will take place on May 13, 2023, at the Wembley Arena. It is the Misfits 007 Card with KSI vs Fournier as the main fight.

Archie, who will be fighting Luis Nestor, will be one of the earlier fights taking place that night.

"Luis Nestor is an ex-Navy," said Archie.

The two creators have been going back and forth on Twitter, building up the hype for the boxing match.

Nestor runs his own YouTube channel called "The Bramfam", where he and his family make fun lifestyle content for viewers of all ages.

The fight will be free to watch LIVE on the Misfit's YouTube channel.

Archie's fight is only a few weeks away, but how has he been preparing?

The original fighter to take on Nestor dropped last second, giving Archie a golden opportunity, but little time to prepare.

"With only 17 days' notice, it's a bit difficult to get extremely fit," said Archie. "I already know how to fight and how to spare, so my main focus has been getting in peak shape."

Luckily, the gamer has made fitness a pretty relevant subject in his life.

"I've been doing sprints, long runs, intensive cardio and core work as much as possible. The rest of the time I am recovering either in a bath or in bed."

This is simply just the life of a fighter. Juggling the active lifestyle can come at a cost, causing him to focus less on his gaming and streaming career.

"It's hectic, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to win."

Make sure to tune into the Misfit's YouTube channel on May 13 to watch Archie take on Nestor LIVE in the ring.
