Time flies when you're having fun, especially for enjoyers of the Fortnite OG game mode. Following the release of Season 2 in all of its Tilted Towers glory, the end of this season is near. You might be wondering what's next and when it will all happen. Here is a countdown to Fortnite OG Season 3 and what you can expect!

Fortnite OG Season 3 countdown

Fortnite OG Season 3 begins in

The next OG Season will commence on Tuesday, March 25, which aligns with Epic Games' usual update cycle. For the Season 2 release, Epic Games brought the servers offline at around 2 a.m. ET on a Tuesday morning. We can expect a similar situation when factoring in the Fortnite OG Season 3 countdown.

Season 3 will likely be live a few hours after the downtime, which could last two to six hours. Since the end of Season 2 is so close, we should learn more details over the next few days.

What to expect in the next OG Season

Apart from the Battle Pass cosmetics, we usually know exactly what to expect from each OG Season. While Season 2 became famous for the debut of Titled Towers, Season 3 spawned many iconic characters, one point of interest (POI), and weapons.

Lucky Landing is the only prominent location to appear in Chapter 1 Season 3. This was the southernmost drop spot on the map, located beside Flush Factory. It was famous for being one of the original areas featuring Asian-inspired architecture and has resurfaced several times over the years.

From a weapons perspective, Fortnite OG Season 3 featured the debut of the Hand Cannon alongside the unforgettable Hunting Rifle. The latter revolutionized the Fortnite experience, as players attempted to one-up each other with creative trick shots to end games.

Season 3 also saw the first appearance of the legendary Supply Llama, which has effectively served as a mascot for the game since 2018. Other noteworthy items to first appear in Fortnite OG Season 3 include the Remote Explosive, Heavy Shotgun, Guided Missile, Port-A-Fort, and Clingers.

Lastly, it's worth touching on the Battle Pass since the game's classic skins are the most sought-after. Fortnite Season 3 officially welcomed Elite Agent, Dark Voyager, Mission Specialist, Rust Lord, and the legally different John Wick-inspired Reaper skin.

These have become some of the most desirable cosmetics in Fortnite, and we expect a few to appear in the OG Season 3 Battle Pass. This season also debuted the iconic yet silently banned "Take the L" Emote and the "Best Mates" Emote.

Ultimately, we will have to wait for more details, but this gives you an idea of what to expect on March 25.
