Ready for a new mobile experience on Fortnite?

It is no secret that Fortnite frequently introduces new game modes to its fans. In fact, these updates are what keep players wanting to constantly play the game. From Zero Build to Reload, the game is always giving us new content. And now, Fortnite has introduced its newest game mode: Blitz Royale.

While Blitz Royale is dedicated mainly to mobile players, it still allows crossplay. Let's break down the new game mode and everything it includes.

New rogue-like game mode added to Fortnite called Blitz Royale

So, what is Blitz Royale? Well, Fortnite has not given fans much information on the new game mode, but we do know that it was made with mobile in mind, with special controls pandering specifically to those who play the Battle Royale on their phone.

It will also be an incredibly fast-paced version of the Battle Royale, making each match around five minutes. This is huge for mobile players, as many do not have the time to sit on their phone and play an entire 20-30 minute match.

The game will also have its own loot pool, with constant updates and more. In fact, Blitz Royale is incredibly similar to the old Blitz mode, which features a smaller zone and much faster storm, making games progress much faster than normal Battle Royale matches.

So, when does Blitz Royale release in Fortnite?

Release date

The new Blitz Royale mode is set to release on June 18, 2025, debuting alongside the new LEGO Fortnite Expeditions mode, which allows players to gain superpowers and take on an evil force attempting to take over the world of LEGO Fortnite.

With the game constantly giving us big updates, and its newest season just beginning a few weeks ago, Fortnite is looking to have one of its biggest summers yet.
