Fortnite hints at DragonForce hit, “Through the Fire and Flames,” to come to Fortnite Festival

The time has come! Guitar Hero enthusiasts can unite together on Fortnite Festival to play the infamous "Through the Fire and Flames," hit by DragonForce, which contains some of the gnarliest guitar solos. The popular video game hinted at the song coming to Fortnite Festival recently, with various leakers confirming and DragonForce guitarist, Herman Li, making a cryptic post on Twitter.

Recently on Twitter, the popular video game, Fortnite, made a post signaling the addition of Through the Fire and Flames in Fortnite Festival.

"On a cold winter morning...," said Fortnite Festival in a post on Twitter. These are the starting lyrics to the popular DragonForce Hit.

They did not stop there, though, as then the actual Fortnite Twitter followed up with the second half of the first line of lyrics from the song.

"In a time before the light."

If this is not enough to prove to you that Through the Fire and Flames is coming to Fortnite Festival, then let's take a look at the original band's guitarist, Herman Li, and what was posted with him on Twitter.

Fortnite Festival did not stop with just posting the song's lyrics on Twitter. In fact, they posted a photo with the band's guitarist, Herman Li, who plays the legendary guitar solo found in Through the Fire and Flames.

"If we send you this, we wanna party up for Spring Raid this Friday," said Fortnite Festival on Twitter. The account then included a photo of Li posing with a photo that said "Spring Raid this Friday?"

It would seem as if the famous song will be coming to Fortnite Festival this Friday (March 14, 2025).

This seems like a dream come true for the guitarist, as he declared on his Twitch stream last summer that he would love to have the song come to Fortnite Festival.

"I would love to do a Jam Track," said Li on his Twitch stream. "I would re-record for the fans."

Popular leaker, Hypex, even confirmed the rumor, stating that Through the Fire and Flames will be coming to Fortnite Festival with the game's next update.

"FREE 'DRAGONFORCE x FORTNITE JAM TRACK THIS UPDATE," said Hypex on Twitter. This also gave players confirmation that the song will be playable for free on Fortnite Festival, allowing anyone to take a stab at that crazy guitar solo.

Fortnite Festival is a game mode within regular Fortnite that players can indulge in. It is incredibly similar to the classic Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles, where players have the chance to jam out to some of their favorite tracks.

The best part, however, is that you get to play as your favorite Fortnite skin.

Fortnite Festival has a wide variety of songs to choose from and even lets players hook up Rock Band 4 controllers to play with.

DragonForce put their name on the map back in 2007, when their song, "Through the Fire and Flames," was officially added to Guitar Hero III. The song instantly became a classic due to its insane guitar solo, which everyone was trying to master on Expert mode.

The band DragonForce, has released nine studio albums since their first LP, Valled of the Damned, was released back in 2003.

Not only is DragonForce still going strong as a band, but they are also seen quite a bit in pop culture these days, with people such as their guitarist, Li, thriving on different social media platforms like Twitch.
