Epic Games have announced the Galaxy Cup 3 with another free skin up for grabs.
Fortnite’s partnership with Samsung dates back to 2018 when players could acquire the first-ever Galaxy skin by purchasing the Samsung Galaxy S9 or Note 9. Since the first collaboration, Epic Games and Samsung have teamed up nearly every year for additional promotions.
In 2020, Fortnite introduced the Galaxy Cup concept – a tournament where players could earn the Galaxy Scout skin in exchange for a high placement.
Now in July 2022, those who possess an Android phone or tablet can compete in the Galaxy Cup 3 for a chance to win the latest Galaxy-themed skin and more. Here is everything you need to know about the latest Fortnite Galaxy Cup 3 tournament.

Fortnite Galaxy Cup 3 goes Zero Build: Format, scoring system & dates
The Fortnite Zero Build craze has officially made its way into the Galaxy Cup 3 via an Android-only solo tournament. Furthermore, it’s available to players of all Arena Mode ranks. The general format follows the usual Fortnite tournament format – you must earn eliminations and placement points to boost your score.
Here is a breakdown of the Galaxy Cup 3 format as defined in Epic’s blog post:
- Two separate tournaments on July 16 and July 17
- Each offers a two-hour session
- Players can compete in a maximum of seven matches
- The highest point earners will take home the Khari (Galaxy Evolved) outfit and Truth’s Quiver back bling
Here is a look at the scoring system for the Galaxy Cup 3:
- Victory Royale: 30 points
- 2nd: 25 points
- 3rd: 22 points
- 4th: 20 points
- 5th: 19 points
- 6th: 17 points
- 7th: 16 points
- 8th: 15 points
- 9th: 14 points
- 10th: 13 points
- 11th-15th: 11 points
- 16th-20th: 9 points
- 21st-25th: 7 points
- 26th-30th: 5 points
- 31st-35th: 4 points
- 36th-40th: 3 points
- 41st-50th: 2 points
- 51st-75th: 1 point
- Each Elimination: 1 point
Finally, it’s worth noting that participants can collect the free Galaxy Creation Spray. However, to earn the Khari (Galaxy Evolved) outfit and back bling, you’ll need a lot of points in your respective region. Be sure to try your hand in some Fortnite Zero Build this weekend!
