Here is everything we learned in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 trailers!

It's been a rough few hours for Epic Games and Fortnite. After the upcoming live event playlist leaked in full, reports indicated the developers mistakenly posted the Fortnite Chapter 6 trailer. This circumstance forced Epic's hand to publish the gameplay trailer in full before Chapter 6 even arrived. Epic Games soon followed this by posting the official cinematic trailer, giving players a better look at Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. Here's everything we learned from it!

Fortnite Chapter 6 gameplay trailer is live

Chapter 6 Season 1, dubbed Hunters, features everything from Baymax and Godzilla to a new map and gameplay mechanics. Since the key art leaked early, we already knew about the Battle Pass collaborations. The Samurai-influenced season provides an aesthetically pleasing map, a new sword weapon, giant boss characters, masks with different abilities, a moving turtle point of interest (POI), and a new wall-jump mechanic. According to Guille_GAG, the masks in Chapter 6 will offer air, wind, fire, and void abilities.

Let's not forget the big Godzilla tease at the end, which served somewhat as a post-credits sequence. Leakers have revealed that the original Japanese kaiju will be an in-game skin and boss character on the Chapter 6 map. There are also these little Slurp-looking characters running around that will presumably provide you with health or shield.

Epic Games releases the cinematic trailer for the new Fortnite season

After publishing the gameplay trailer, Epic Games doubled down and posted the cinematic trailer. Although not as in-depth, it provides a closer look at the new season from a storyline perspective, taking place in "Reality 783." The trailer depicts demonic characters emerging through a portal, likely the antagonists of Fortnite Chapter 6.

The cinematic trailer makes the landscape much more visible and vibrant. It showcases oriental-inspired towns alongside a more natural landscape of pink and purple trees, some of which are humanoid. The trailer concludes with a battle against the new samurai boss characters.

Chapter 6 arrives on Dec. 1, following the Fortnite Remix: The Finale live event on Nov. 30. Over the next 24 hours, we expect to learn more about the new season.
