Epic Games has revealed the complete Star Wars-themed Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 map ahead of the season’s May 2 release date!

Fortnite will soon head to a galaxy far, far away following confirmation that the next season will feature an all-Star Wars theme. Chapter 6 Season 3 is set to feature new skins, weapons, and above all else, an updated Fortnite map.

While the Season 3 map won't feature only Star Wars points of interest (POIs), Epic Games will replace many existing locations with Star Wars-inspired drop spots. Epic Games has unveiled the map ahead of the next season's May 2 release date, and here's a complete breakdown.

What new locations are coming to the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 map?

When the new season arrives on May 2, Darth Jar Jar arrives alongside four new locations that will replace existing drop spots on the Chapter 6 Season 2 map. Based on the map above, new POIs will replace Whiffy Wharf, Demon's Dojo, Shogun's Solitude, and Hopeful Heights.

Those four new POIs include Resistance Base, First Order Base, Vader Samurai's Solitude, and Outpost Enclave. Coincidentally, these locations will appear in the four corners of the map while the center of the map remains untouched.

Here is a complete list of new and returning locations for the Chapter 6 Season 3 map:

New Star Wars POIs

  • Resistance Base (replaces Whiffy Wharf)
  • First Order Base (replaces Demon's Dojo)
  • Vader Samurai's Solitude (replaces Shogun's Solitude)
  • Outpost Enclave (replaces Hopeful Heights)

Returning POIs

  • Flooded Frogs
  • Magic Mosses
  • Lonewolf Lair
  • Pumped Power
  • Brutal Boxcars
  • Shiny Shafts
  • Outlaw Oasis
  • Crime City
  • Foxy Floodgate
  • Shining Span
  • Seaport City
  • Canyon Crossing
  • Masked Meadows
  • Kappa Kappa Factory

What will these new locations entail?

Based on Fortnite's official social media post on the subject, we have an idea of what all four POIs provide. For image one, we have a pair of downed AT-ATs, giving off some strong Hoth vibes. Another screenshot strikingly resembles the First Order Base seen in the new Star Wars trilogy.

The third image is of the Outpost Enclave, Fortnite's version of Mos Eisley, complete with a Sandcrawler, an X-Wing, and many Tatooine-inspired structures. By process of elimination, the last image depicts the Resistance Base, another iconic landmark from the newer Star Wars trilogy.

Overall, these three POIs look impressive and faithful to what we've seen in Star Wars. The First Order Base and Outpost Enclave rank atop our list purely from a cosmetic standpoint.

Are these good changes to the map?

Another lingering question is: Is the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 map any good? Although we won't know for sure until we can play, an issue many fans have referenced is the positioning of these POIs. Putting them on the edges of the map could mean players may avoid them as the season progresses.

As X user Macko_MT points out, some won't see these locations as often. Anyone looking to win a Fortnite match or at least engage in some action tends to land toward the center of the map.

However, at least for the first few weeks, Resistance Base, First Order Base, Vader Samurai's Solitude, and Outpost Enclave will see lots of action.
