Fortnite Chapter 5 is just days away from release, and Xbox mistakenly leaked the season's title and Battle Pass early. The entire lineup is available via a low-quality screenshot on the Xbox Home Screen that has made its rounds on social media. It depicts Peter Griffin and Solid Snake among the characters confirmed for Fortnite Chapter 5.
While Epic Games did not intend for this to leak early, the Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass fulfills a long-running gag in the scene and adds one of gaming's most iconic characters.
Peter Griffin from Family Guy finally becomes a Fortnite skin
The Family Guy character is responsible for one of the most prolonged rumors in Fortnite history, dating back to February 2021. This leak first surfaced courtesy of leaker GMatrixGames, who posted a screenshot of Peter Griffin with the code "FrenchFry Backbling texture."
Although this potential collaboration confused many, it was not out of the realm of possibility. The rumors remained consistent from there. Peter Griffin appeared once again in April 2022 during an Unreal Engine stream. Regardless, nothing came to fruition.
Fast forward to December 2023, and Epic Games is finally ready to unleash Peter Griffin into Fortnite Chapter 5. The screenshot depicts the animated character in a suit, and there's no telling what other cosmetics could be involved.
Chapter 5 Battle Pass includes Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid
The low-resolution screenshot has also confirmed Solid Snake, famously of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, will make his Fortnite debut. Unlike Peter Griffin, this collaboration flew under the radar leading into Chapter 5. Not many could have predicted Snake to become a Fortnite skin.
However, it's not a complete shock, considering he is playable in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Ultimate. Regarding additional cosmetics, we expect Snake's cardboard box to appear alongside other staples from the MGS series.
In addition to the Peter Griffin and Solid Snake collaboration outfits, the Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass leak showcases six original designs to fill out a loaded lineup.
Fortnite's "The Big Bang" event begins this Saturday and takes players into Chapter 5.
