Fortnite announced a new update which made some big changes to competitive.

With every new Fortnite season comes changes to competitive, buffs, and nerfs to weapons and more. The game recently announced via Twitter that a few new updates have been added to the game revolving around competitive.

Here is everything Fortnite changed regarding competitive for Forntite Chapter 5, Season 4.

Fortnite removes Hover Jets in competitive in Season 4

Fortnite announced via its competitive Twitter today that Hover Jets will no longer be in competitive. This marks a huge win for tournaments, as many people were able to spam and abuse the item when competing.

Hover Jets being removed was not the only change Fortnite had in mind, though. The game also announced that Armored Walls will be capped at a lower number in next week's update and will only be six in tournaments.

This means that players will be able to hold only six Armored Walls per person, making it difficult to stack up too many as a team.

This comes after many players complained about the abuse of these walls, with competitors using too many at a time. They do take incredibly long to break, too.

Fortnite fixes chest bug

The game also fixed a bug where chests sometimes did not contain a gun, rendering them basically useless to the players who opened them.

This has been fixed and will not be an issue for players anymore.

Fortnite continues to excel at listening to its fanbase, especially when it comes to competitive. While there are still some complaints being actively thrown out there by players, such as siphon still being removed, the game consistently makes the changes people want to see.

With Fortnite Globals happening in only two weeks, many players and fans are getting excited to see what this new season of competition holds.
