The Mandalorian update has arrived in Fortnite. Here is a complete rundown of what to expect from weapons to NPCs and more!

We have officially passed the halfway point for Fortnite Chapter 6 MS1, Galactic Battle. This abbreviated Star Wars-themed season just launched the Mandalorian-centric update, called "Mandalorian Rising." New weapons have entered the loot pool alongside some new non-player characters (NPCs)

This article outlines everything worth knowing about this update, including whether it's any good.

Bounty Hunter Jetpack and Amban Sniper Rifle return, Blaster Pistols debut

All of the Star Wars season updates have introduced new weapons to experience, and this one is no different. The Amban Sniper Rifle and Jetpack, which debuted in Chapter 2 Season 5, are back in the mix. Unlike its last appearance, the Amban Rifle is no longer of Mythic rarity.

You can now find Rare, Epic, and Legendary versions around the map in Chests or on the ground. The Mandalorian's Jetpack is similar in that it's no longer a Mythic. It is strictly of Epic rarity and offers 100 fuel when fresh. It will negate fall damage as long as fuel is in the Jetpack.

The final addition to the Mandalorian update is the WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols, made famous by Jango Fett in the prequel trilogy. You can find these in all rarities except Mythic, and they function like the other Blasters, meaning they will overheat if used too much.

Here are the stats for the Rare versions of the Amban Sniper Rifle and WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols:

Amban Sniper Rifle

  • DPS - 49
  • Damage - 98
  • Magazine Size - 1
  • Fire Rate - 0.5
  • Reload Time - 2.5 seconds
  • Structure Damage - 98

WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols

  • DPS - 159.9
  • Damage - 26
  • Fire Rate - 6.15
  • Cooldown Time - 2.77 seconds
  • Structure Damage - 24

Mandalorian NPCs invade the Island

A Mandalore-themed update wouldn't be complete without some of its inhabitants. You can now find three different NPCs on the Island: Heavy, Scout, Supply, and Medic. All four are friendly characters, offering various services to players.

For example, the Scout NPC, which you can find north of Canyon Crossing, can sell you an Epic Amban Sniper Rifle. You can also spend gold to reveal future Storm Circles and hire the Scout to your team.

Below, we have outlined all services offered by the new Mandalorian NPCs and where you can find them:

Heavy

  • Thermal Imploder
  • Hire
  • Deliver Intel
  • Storyline Dialogue

Scout

  • Mandalorian Jetpack
  • WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols
  • Hire
  • Storyline Dialogue

Supply

  • Amban Sniper Rifle
  • Reveal Future Storm Circle
  • Hire
  • Deliver Intel
  • Storyline Dialogue

Medic

  • Shield Bubble Jr.
  • Hire
  • Deliver Intel
  • Storyline Dialogue

Of all three, the Supply Mandalorian offers many more options than the others, but hiring the Medic is beneficial since they will heal you throughout the match.

Customizable Mandalorian arrives in the May 22 Item Shop update

Fortnite's customizable Mandalorian skin is the final and arguably most anticipated aspect of this update. We previously covered this, outlining the thousands of possible combinations available to those who purchase the skin.

The Mandalorian Warrior skin and accompanying cosmetics will be available when the Item Shop refreshes at 8 p.m. ET. Here is the pricing for all items included in the Bundle:

  • Mandalorian Warriro Bundle - 2,500 V-Bucks
  • Mandalorian Warrior Outfit - 1,800 V-Bucks
  • Pickaxe - 800 V-Bucks
  • Cape Back Bling - 400 V-Bucks
  • Two Emotes - 300 V-Bucks each

This is a solid update, considering the return of some beloved legacy items. The Mandalorian skin will take most of the attention, but the weapons and NPCs are fun to use if nothing else. We recommend checking out the Mandalorian update before this Fortnite season ends in just a few weeks.
