The best AR in Fortnite Chapter 3
Currently, there are only two assault rifles in Chapter 3. You have the option to choose between MK Seven Assault Rifle and the Ranger Assault Rifle. Interestingly, the MK Seven uses a red dot sight when players aim in. This is the first time a first-person shooter mechanic has been introduced into Fortnite battle royale. The Ranger Assault Rifle acts similarly to the Heavy Assault Rifle from previous seasons.

The best shotgun in Fortnite Chapter 3 Battle Royale
Unlike the ARs, the shotgun debate continues. Both shotguns are weaker than the old Pump Shotguns of the previous Chapter. Your two options are the Auto Shotgun and the Striker Pump Shotgun. Neither shotgun has a fast fire rate, but the Auto Shotgun is slightly faster than the Striker.

Overall, pros and content creators have been choosing the Striker Pump Shotgun. The Auto Shotgun is not far behind in damage while also firing faster. Over time, the Auto Shotgun will become used more often. For now, the Striker Pump Shotgun dominates. Both shotguns take a back seat to the overall spray meta. Without a high damage output shotgun, players choose to pick up ARs and SMGs. You will likely see that again in Chapter 1 unless there are balance changes.
Slide your way to a victory royale in Fortnite Chapter 3
Fortnite introduced a new mechanic to the game, sliding. There have been several additions and items removed from the game. Nothing similar to a new movement mechanic. In its current state, sliding will increase the skill ceiling and provide new ways to eliminate players.
r/FortniteCompetitive has been filled with different ways to use the slide. Players will find unintended ways to utilize the slide. One of the most prominent creative players and map makers, Raider464, shared his early thoughts on sliding.
In just a few hours, Raider found ways to use sliding other than simple movement. He was not the only player to find out other ways to use the mechanic. Billy Bicep showed how to smoothly jump out of a car, slide, shoot, and get right back into the car.
These strategies are just the beginning. Fortnite released Chapter 3 a couple of days ago. Players have a history of pushing the game beyond its intended use.
