Edward Scissorhands Fortnite skin: First look and release date

In an unexpected revelation, Fortnite is bringing Edward Scissorhands to the game for its annual Fortnitemares 2024 event. Leakers confirmed this via the event trailer that surfaced prematurely, which also depicts Disney villains Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent, Mephisto, and more. However, Edward Scissorhands stands out among the pack. Here is the first look at this new skin and when you can expect to unlock it. 

The leaked Fortnitemares 2024 trailer showcases Edward Scissorhands, indicating this skin will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop during the event, which Epic Games has delayed until Oct. 12. Many well-known leakers, including ShiinaBR, have confirmed the Edward Scissorhands set will arrive in the Item Shop on Tuesday, Oct. 15!

Fans got their first look at Fortnite’s Edward Scissorhands skin in the leaked trailer. Although it’s not comprehensive, the black hair, light skin tone, scarred appearance, and leather suit are identifiable.

Given the age range of Fortnite players, a common question will be: who is Edward Scissorhands? To answer that question, you must head back to 1990 when Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands arrived on the silver screen. 

Johnny Depp stars as Edward Scissorhands, a creation of a scientist who died before he could finish making him. He is left with scissors for his hands, and despite his appearance, Edward exhibits talent in trimming topiaries, grooming pets, and styling hair.

This character joins Fortnite alongside two additional Tim Burton characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Pumpkin King and Sally. Edward Scissorhands is an interesting choice for Fortnite, and we’ll watch for the other cosmetics included in the set.
