Fortnite returns to Elmia, Jönköping, Sweden, for DreamHack Winter 2023 next month. There was some doubt that a Fortnite event would occur, but alas, DreamHack has announced a Fortnite Battle Royale Duos tournament with a $10K prize pool. DreamHack Winter occurs from November 23 to 26, and we have everything you need to know about the competition.

DreamHack Winter 2023: Fortnite Duos format and schedule

This event initially began as a Solos Zero Build tournament, but after receiving overwhelming feedback, DreamHack has changed the format to Battle Royale Duos. Players will now compete for $10K in prize money, split between the two players.

DreamHack Winter 2023 presents a three-day competition where players will compete in four heats across two days leading up to the Grand Finals on day three. Duos can participate in all four heats, but only the top 25 players will advance to the Finals.

How to register

Those looking to trek to Sweden and compete in this event can register on the DreamHack website. You must purchase a LAN seat, and you can also rent a PC and peripherals ahead of time. DreamHack Winter 2023’s Fortnite event is in-person only–meaning you cannot compete online.
