Jarvis may be unbanned from Fortnite soon. Here’s what we know about the situation!

Following a groundbreaking Fortnite announcement, former FaZe Clan member Jarvis Khattri is back in the spotlight. Amid Epic Games' crusade to make cheaters and cheat sellers pay for their transgressions, the developers have revealed plans to unban all cheaters' accounts, granting them a second chance.

For those who don't know, Epic Games infamously banned Jarvis during Fortnite's prime. As a result, many have wondered if the exiled player will receive the same treatment. Here's what we know.

Did Jarvis get unbanned from Fortnite?

Epic Games' most recent update regarding their efforts to punish cheaters included a passage about upcoming account bans. This "Offering a Second Chance" section explained that the developers would grant previously banned players another opportunity, but what about Jarvis?

"Starting in April, we’ll be moving to a one-year matchmaking ban for first-time cheating offenses, allowing former cheaters to learn from their mistakes while still punishing and deterring cheating. A second offense will result in a lifetime ban...As part of rolling out this policy, existing lifetime cheating bans that have been in effect for more than a year will be lifted."

Epic Games comments on account unbans

Naturally, many have wondered if that means Jarvis fits into the category of players that will be allowed back into Fortnite. Based on what we know, the answer should be yes.

All indications are that he only ever cheated in a public match, meaning he could return to Fortnite and even play tournaments beginning in April. Jarvis' only response to the news was a simple post that reads, "Fingers crossed."

What led to the ban of the former FaZe member?

Jarvis posted the infamous, now-deleted video in 2019 of him playing public Fortnite matches using an aimbot. After Epic Games banned his account, Jarvis posted an apology video that went viral. The video has amassed over 20 million views, making it his channel's second-highest viewed video.

Jarvis has dabbled and trolled Epic Games a few times over the years. In Sept. 2020, he posted a video documenting his successful attempt to troll the internet by creating the illusion that he returned to Fortnite.

Nowadays, Jarvis still creates Fortnite content occasionally. With April's unban wave approaching, it's safe to assume he will return and take full advantage of this second chance. We will have to wait and see what the former FaZe member says about the situation, but it looks promising.
