Fortnite Chapter 5 weapon modifications explained
Weapon mods have finally arrived in Fortnite more than three years after the initial leak. Players can now customize their weapons with scopes, magazines, and more. Here is how they work.
Vaults in Chapter 5 Season 1 contain Mod Benches that allow you to customize your weapons in exchange for Bars (Fortnite in-game currency). However, there are other ways you can obtain modded weapons.
Uncommon weapons come standard with one mod; Rare weapons include two mods; Epic rarities have three mods and Legendary weapons drop with four mods. You can replace any existing mods at the Mod Bench.
New healing items and changes to existing healing items
The FLOW-T ON is a new fruit in Fortnite Chapter 5. This healing item recovers your and your nearby teammates’ Shield while granting a low-gravity jump with fall damage immunity.
Last but not least, Medkits and Shield Potions have received a monumental change that reshapes the items at their core. While they still restore the same amount of HP and Shield, they restore the health immediately instead of all at once. That means you don’t have to wait ten seconds for a Medkit to restore your HP.
You can now move slowly while your HP or Shield restores, but this also means you cannot cancel the usage of either item.
