It’s official! Epic Games will open its doors to competitive Fortnite fans this coming fall for the FNCS Invitational 2022 LAN competition.
A few months ago, competitive Fortnite returned to LAN following two years of only online events. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person events were not an option from Epic Games’ perspective. However, with vaccinations on the rise, Fortnite’s developers have found a comfort level with hosting LAN competitions again. That brings us to this November's FNCS Invitational 2022, which plays host to the game’s top duos across all seven worldwide regions.
The LAN event–due to take place from November 11 to November 12–represents a return to an environment that fans and players love the most. Rumors began circulating last month that Epic Games would open the Raleigh Convention Center’s doors to the general public. After much uncertainty, it’s official, and tickets will soon go on sale for the FNCS Invitational 2022.
Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s first LAN produced by Epic Games since 2018:
FNCS Invitational 2022 tickets to go on presale on September 5; how to register
Epic Games published a blog post earlier today, explaining more of what fans can expect over the next few weeks. The video game developer partnered with Ticketmaster for the event. Furthermore, fans can currently head to this website to register as a “Verified Fan.” Doing so gives you the chance to secure early access tickets.
“The FNCS Invitational will take place in the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, on November 12 and 13, and the best way to have an opportunity to secure a seat is to register as a Verified Fan on Ticketmaster*. Some Verified Fans will receive early access to purchase a limited amount of tickets, so register by August 31 at 10 PM ET!”
Once you register to become a Verified Fan, the Ticketmaster page indicates that the FNCS Invitational 2022 presale period begins Monday, September 5, at 10 AM EST. As a result, it’s essential to keep this date and time in mind. Also, the Ticketmaster page will limit hopeful buyers to ten tickets each.
This moment is significant for the entire competitive Fortnite scene as fans will witness the best players competing for a $1 million prize pool.
