The vast choice of characters in KOF XV is quite understandable, as the game features 3v3 team fights, and players need more fighters than in other titles. It seems like the developers from SNK decided to boost this advantage of their game even more.

Two new characters were announced for The King of Fighters XV during Evo 2024. Vice and Mature join KOF XV later this year as Special DLC characters.

The very first post revealing these characters mentions the release date for Vice and Mature KOF XV. They will be available in December 2024.

In the game, Vice focuses on close-range pressure and command throws. Good movement options and long pokes support her status as a dangerous opponent at the mid-range.

Vice was first added to the game The King of Fighters '96. After that, she was included in many main installments, including the previous game, The King of Fighters XIV.

She enjoys violence and even killing people. Vice is a grappler with some effective command grabs and corner throws.

Mature is quick to move around the stage and attack at the best moments. Her slow projectiles work like a nice shield to protect her approaches. The character has options for all ranges in the KOF XV fights, but Mature may struggle with response to opponent's active offense.

For the first time, this character appeared in the game The King of Fighters '94. But Mature became playable in The King of Fighters '96. She is also present in The King of Fighters XIV.

Mature’s personality is similar to Vice. Both have a hunger for violence. The developers describe Mature as a “ruthless woman”, while Vice is a “cruel woman”.

In the fights, Mature emphasizes speedy movements and a variety of quick attacks.

The King of Fighters XV has an active official league — the qualifiers for the SNK World Championship 2025 happen on the biggest fighting events.
