Tekken is taking over one of the most popular nightclubs in Las Vegas as part of the festivities and fun alongside Evo 2023!

The most important fighting game tournament in the world, Evo, kicks off today in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bandai Namco are getting things into gear by having their upcoming fighter take over an entire Vegas nightclub.

On Friday, August 4, Tekken 8 is taking over the Hakkasan nightclub, located within the MGM Grand Casino on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Details are confusingly sparse on the event, with no details of what the takeover entails, what makes it Tekken 8 related, or really anything else. We’d hope for classic tracks from old Tekken games and lots of cosplayers, but nothing has been confirmed. In fact, the official Bandai Namco US Twitter account mis-tagged the Hakkasan in its social post, and nothing’s been posted on the main Tekken 8 account.

A quick check on the Hakkasan nightclub’s website suggests that the DJ for the event is Afrojack, and tickets cost $30 for men, and $20 for women (presale). If you miss the presale, prices are much higher, and there’s also VIP packages that scale up to $99 or more.

So, while we don’t know if you’ll see Katsuhiro Harada busting his moves on the Hakkasan dance floor, this is possibly the biggest and most exclusive celebration of Tekken 8 taking place this weekend. And the neon lights and futuristic fittings of the Hakkasan do feel very fitting for a Tekken-themed event. We could almost imagine seeing some Mishima family members beating each other down right on the dance floor!

Tekken 8 is playable at Evo 2023 in Las Vegas, which is taking place down the road from the MGM Grand, at two locations at the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre.
