Marvel Tokon isn’t even out yet and everyone is thirsting over Iron Man

Is it the era of tag-team games? Arc System Works recently dropped the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls announcement trailer, and it immediately caught the attention of the fighting game community (FGC). In particular, folks are already obsessed with Iron Man's appearance.

The official Marvel Tokon trailer dropped on June 4 and revealed a lineup of heroes and villains, including Captain America, Star-Lord, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and Doctor Doom. One of the standout characters, however, was Iron Man. His sleek design instantly captured fans' attention.

Folks on X, for example, not only flooded the timeline with memes, but also posts about how much they're into Iron Man's new look in Marvel Tokon. DEAADSEAA, for example, noted Iron Man's coolness factor. The user's post racked up over 1.1 million views and more than 20,000 likes at the time of publishing this article.

Also in less than 24 hours, a lot of talented artists drew fanart of Marvel Tokon's Iron Man. User superebiseeeen, for example, garnered over 11,000 likes and over 236,400 views so far.

The love for Iron Man is similar on Reddit, where folks praised the character's design. "Iron man looking like a kamen rider goes crazy," Wolfheron325 wrote while others noted how Iron Man's design reminded them of Gundam. Mighty_Megascream shared a similar level of enthusiasm, stating that "Most fire iron man design I have seen in ages."

It's not only Iron Man generating hype around the upcoming fighting game, either. Lots of artists on X shared their work for the other characters in the Marvel Tokon roster. Zomayuan, for example, drew Storm in her Marvel Tokon outfit.

As noted, the confirmed character roster for Marvel Tōkon so far includes Captain America, Iron Man, Star-Lord, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and Doctor Doom. Arc System Works also revealed the Japanese voice actors for them in the description of the game's official trailer.

Marvel Tokon is set to launch in 2026. This four-versus-four (4v4) tag-team fighting game is also slated for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
