FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves officially launched back in April 2025 for everyone, bringing with it a colorful roster of characters. The game also welcomed many DLC fighters since then. FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves’ base roster includes 17 fighters. These are Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, B. Jenet, Marco Rodriguez, Preecha, Hotaru Futaba, Vox Reaper, Tizoc, Kevin Rian, Billy Kane, Mai Shiranui, Kim Dong Hwan, Gato, Kain R. Heinlein, Cristiano Ronaldo, Salvatore Ganacci, and Hokutomaru.

Then, beyond these, players can get some DLC characters via seasonal passes. While Season Pass 1 features Andy Bogard, Ken, Joe Higashi, Chun-Li, and Mr. Big, the Season Pass 2 includes Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser, Kenshiro.

According to SNK Corporation, Season Pass 2 will also welcome two more fighters later this year. One of them will be Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro in June 2026.

FATAL FURY City of the Wolves release date

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves released on April 24, 2025 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. SNK Corporation first announced this release date during Gamescom 2024’s Opening Night Live. Later, the company revealed Ken and Chun-Li from the Street Fighter franchise as DLC characters.

The company also revealed the arrival of Kim Dong Hwan during Paris Games Week, Gato in December 2024, and Kain R. Heinlein during the inaugural Evo Awards in February 2025. On March 26 of that same year, SNK officially announced Cristiano Ronaldo as a character. His appearance in the game was first teased in a trailer back in September 2024. Then, on April 3, 2025 the company announced the arrival of Salvatore Ganacci. Hokutomaru then appeared on April 10, 2025.

In total, game had 17 characters at launch. Five more DLC fighters arrived via the Season Pass 1 lineup before the announcement of Season Pass 2.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves early access

The game had a period of early access that began on April 21, 2025 as well. This early access lasted for three days in total. There was also an open beta test that happened between March 26 and March 31. This one featured Tizoc as an additional playable character.

In terms of other announcements, interested players had the chance to order FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves ahead of the April 24, 2025 release date. The Special Edition, which featured Season Pass 1, required $59.99 USD. Another pre-order bonus was the FATAL FURY 2: TERRY DLC costume.
