Characters in Fatal Fury: Gameplay
Fatal Fury: CotW characters have their detailed gameplay trailers. The videos show what the fighters are capable of and what to expect from them in the actual matches. The character trailers may help you decide who to train in the game first.
Rock Howard
Rock is a quick, mixup-heavy character. He has energy-driven rushes to approach opponents and open them up. His movements and range of attacks support the combo game.
Terry Bogard: Fatal Fury characters
In Fatal Fury, Terry is a well-rounded character with a variety of options. He might sacrifice some movement and attack speed, but that should be balanced by the damage from his hits. Terry Bogard is, in a way, a face of the whole series, and the developers make him a beginner-friendly jack of all trades.
B. Jenet
The character trailer clearly shows that B. Jenet is good at punishing her opponents. She has some long-reaching hits and quick moves to punish whiffs and convert every opening into damage. Fatal Fury B. Jenet is quick on the ground and in the air. Her mixup game looks pretty good.
Marco Rodrigues
Marco is a heavy-hitting character. His move set looks the most effective at close range. While the movement speed doesn’t seem to be his best ability, Marco Rodrigues obviously has some low-startup moves to punish approaching opponents.
Preecha, a new Fatal Fury character
This girl is a new character in the series. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a debut game for Preecha. She looks like a technical character who should create special situations to open her opponents up and unleash her long combos. Freezing characters in the air should help with this.

Hotaru Futaba
She seems to be an all-rounder in the game, but Hotaru should have some tricks up her sleeve. In the trailer, the girl creates ghost images of herself, which apparently speeds her up during attacks and allows players to land longer combos. In previous games, Hotaru has different stances that affect her follow-ups.
Vox Reaper
In the trailer, we can see how long normals are for Vox Reaper. He reaches a distant opponent and starts his offense. At the same time, the character demonstrates his punishment skills, which means he has quick hits with low-frame startups. Vox Reaper is also a new character, so we will discover more about him after the release.
Tizoc
Fatal Fury Tizoc is a typical grappler, with somewhat slow but highly damaging hits. And when opponents think they block nicely, a command grab breaks that illusion. As a wrestler, the character has the vibes of TEKKEN King and the KOF King of Dinosaurs.
Kevin Rian
The moveset of Kevin is nicely balanced, but he somewhat lacks long-range moves. Instead, he has some good grabs, which are still less pronounced than those of Tizoc. In his gameplay trailer, Kevin Rian has an interesting mechanic of ghost images, which are used in combos.
Billy Kane
Billy fights with a staff, which directly affects his style. Long pokes effectively punish opponents on the ground and in the air. The staff can even pull the victims closer to Billy for an even bigger variety of hits.
Mai Shiranui
Mai was confirmed to be a playable character at Gamescom 2024 alongside the release date for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. She fights with her Butterfly Fan and creates flames to damage her opponents. The fighting style of Mai Shiranui resembles a dance, with quick movements and a versatile kit.
Ken and Chun-Li
These two Street Fighter characters enter the playable roster of Fatal Fury: CotW! This great crossover was announced just a couple of days after Terry Bogard was released in Street Fighter 6. So far, we don't have info on the gameplay features of Ken and Chun-Li in Fatal Fury, as the official trailer is only a teaser.
Kim Dong Hwan
As a taekwondo fighter, Kim Dong Hwan relies mainly on his kicks in the matches of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The character uses this type of attack on the ground and in the air. The speed of his moves is impressive, and they can be linked into each other naturally, forming long damaging combos. The downside of Kim Dong Hwan's moveset is the range. He needs to stay really close to his opponents to apply his pressure.
