Six top players from three regions won their spots at the Brawlhalla Winter Championship. Two more competitors can join them at the Max Mode event.

After a short break, the main official tournaments of Brawlhalla esports are back. The competition returns with a blast! The fighting games event Max Mode features a new and unusual format of the Winter Royale Invitational. In addition to the primary event, which is a clash of the best Brawlhalla players in the world, we can witness the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

Brawlhalla Winter Royale is a chance to get to know the strongest guys in the community. Such events include quite a few interviews and close-ups of the players’ reactions. It’s a nice refreshment after remote-only online tournaments, where we can’t see the competitors at all.

The LCQ participants are not just random people, sure. Sandstorm, Raydish, and Wess are here — the community certainly knows them well. However, quite a few other, less established pros are also here. The battle for two qualification spots is a wonderful show to witness, and the addition of two LCQ players should make the Brawlhalla Royale even more interesting!

Brawlhalla Max Mode: Participants and results

Six top players from three regions earned their Max Mode Royale invites at the Brawlhalla Winter Championship 2025.

  • Marckiemoo and BalloonBoy represent North America. The region sends its young power!
  • Mounir and acno? are from Europe. bamya, who won the qualifier, was not able to join Royale.
  • yüz and lores qualified from South America. Having the two-time Brawlhalla World Champion in the brackets is a treat for viewers and a threat for other participants.

New announcement: More Star Wars skins in Brawlhalla?

The most recent Legend that joined Brawlhalla was Priya. She introduced a new weapon to the game, Chakram. It’s a super exciting addition, and pro players have had enough time to practice the character. Can Priya get her big esports debut at Winter Royale?

It doesn’t really feel like Brawlhalla is going to reveal the next character at Max Mode. Collaboration events became a big focus for the game. Skins from Destiny 2 were added to Brawlhalla not so long ago.

As for real expectations from Brawlhalla announcements at Max Mode, the developers openly hint at even more skins from Star Wars. During the Tuesday Dev Stream on April 22, they showed a short teaser trailer.

Obi-Wan got distracted from his game with Anakin. Who could cause this disturbance?

Max Mode itself is a multi-title fighting games esports event in Norcross, Georgia, which is right near Atlanta. The other games featured here include FATAL FURY CotW: the tournament happens just a day after the game's release.

It’s not the first time Brawlhalla joins the bigger fighting games community (FGC) at esports events. The Midseason Championship 2024 happened within CEO 2024, and it’s the plan for 2025 as well.
