We already knew that Spider-Man is a team leader in MARVEL Tōkon. That was revealed in one of the posters during the Unbreakable X-Men announcement. His teammates were a mystery, but it’s solved now.
Alongside two already known characters, the game receives a very unusual newcomer.

Ms. Marvel is certainly amazing with her transformations. The trailer shows her increasing her body and easily knocking Storm out of the stage.
Star-Lord brings his unique weaponry and close-range combat abilities to MARVEL Tōkon.
Peni Parker is actually a Spider-Man, too, but her universe is very different from ours. She lives in an Evangelion-inspired world.
In MARVEL Tōkon, Peni Parker fights in her mecha. Apparently, this makes her a slow heavy-heater, but leaving the mechanical costume may change this archetype.
Knowhere: A new stage
In the Amazing Guardians, superheroes should join a tournament. They must win it to save the Earth. The place for these events is located somewhere in space — Knowhere.
Three teams to go! A MARVEL Tōkon announcement at Evo Japan 2026?
With the Unbreakable X-Men and the Amazing Guardians, MARVEL Tōkon has two more teams to show before the release on August 6. The developers have confirmed the following characters as the leaders.
- Captain America
- Doctor Doom
- Ghost Rider
The Amazing Guardians and Peni Parker were shown after the grand final at the Arc World Tour 2025. With this connection to the esports events, we can expect a big announcement at Evo Japan 2026 from May 1 to May 3.
