The Game Awards 2025 is in full swing, and amid the trailers and world premieres, Best Fighting Game went to none other than FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves!

On Dec. 11, The Game Awards 2025 host Geoff Keighley announced FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as the winner of Best Fighting Game. The game took home the award over strong contenders, including Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, 2XKO, and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage.
After the announcement, the official FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves accounts on X posted about it and thanked everyone for their support. The global SNK Corporation account also thanked everyone before sharing a few words in English.
"We will continue striving for even greater evolution!" the account stated.
Fans of the title also sent their congratulations in the replies.
