Tetris esports? Yes! The Red Bull Tetris World Final 2025 will feature over 2,000 drones creating the world’s first live, playable Tetris game in the sky.
Red Bull announced its Tetris esports tournament and opened the global qualifiers for it on World Tetris Day. Only the best players will advance to the Red Bull Tetris World Final, scheduled for this winter in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Registration for the global qualifiers in Canada is now open until Oct. 31. Players from over 55 countries can compete on mobile to climb their national leaderboards. The top scorers will then receive invitations to the national final in Toronto on Nov. 15 for one-versus-one (1v1) battles on PC.

Later, only the best of the best will represent their countries at the Red Bull Tetris World Final. Before the main event, finalists will compete in a seeding round to determine their tournament placement. The final event will run from Dec. 11 to 13 and will feature music performances and special guests.
According to Red Bull, Dec. 13 will also include with a live final game accompanied by a synchronized drone show above the Dubai Frame. Event tickets for spectators will be available for purchase soon.

Rogers continued, noting that partnering with Red Bull for a global competition is an exciting new chapter for the company. The circuit also reflects the energy, creativity, and community that both brands hope to inspire. "At Tetris, we’re passionate about evolving the ways people experience the game, and this tournament is another meaningful step in continuing to share the joy of Tetris with the world," he added.
