Krafton has announced the 2024 PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) esports roadmap. The new year brings several features for competitors. Read on for the PUBG esports 2024 roadmap details.

PUBG esports 2024 roadmap

The PUBG competitive community will have seven LAN competitions. While the regional leagues will start in March, the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) ends the 2024 season in December.

PUBG Global Series

The PUBG 2024 roadmap will feature four editions of the PUBG Global Series (PGS). There will be two more editions compared to 2023. Additionally, each PGS will have a $300,000 prize pool.

For the four PGS events in 2024, the qualification process will be the same. There will be 24 teams in the PGS:

  • 10 Global Partner Teams
  • 14 Regional Teams

There will also be five Regional Series events. These will be for China, Korea, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC), and Americas. Each league will have a different number of teams present in the PGS:

  • China - 2 Seeds
  • Korea - 3 Seeds
  • EMEA - 2 Seeds
  • APAC - 4 Seeds
  • Americas - 3 Seeds

PUBG Nations Cup

The community will continue to have the traditional PUBG Nations Cup (PNC). The nationalities tournament will be in September.

The South Koreans took the 2023 edition of the PNC. It was not revealed which countries will be at PNC 2024.

PUBG Global Championship

The PGC is the biggest tournament on the PUBG esports circuit. Furthermore, the last edition was won by the South Koreans from Danawa e-sports. The competition distributed a $2,350,000 prize pool.

Further details about the 2024 PGC have not yet been revealed. However, an image from an advertisement reveals that the best teams from the PGS and Regional Series will be in the competition.

One more tournament on the PUBG 2024 roadmap

An offline competition in August will take place in Ryiadh, Saudi Arabia. Krafton will reveal more details about the competition on a later date.

In 2023, one of the PGS events was in the Saudi country, included in Gamers8. This edition had a $2,000,000 prize pool.

Update on global partner teams

Krafton will reevaluate the program started for the 2023 season for this year. Global partner teams have a guaranteed presence at PGS and the best at PGC. The eight teams selected in 2023 were:

  • Four Angry Men
  • 17Gaming
  • FaZe Clan
  • Gen.G
  • Natus Vincere
  • Petrichor Road
  • Soniqs
  • Twisted Minds

To these eight organizations, two will be added to form a group of 10 global partner teams. Nevertheless, the eight organizations will additionally have their presence in the program reevaluated.
