OG appoints Daniel Sanders as Chief Executive Officer

OG Esports has appointed Daniel Sanders as the new Chief Executive Officer. Sanders was previously the CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) in the company. OG has rosters in Dota 2 and Counter-Strike and is one of the leading esports organizations in the industry.

Who is Daniel Sanders?

Daniel Sanders has worked in many roles in esports. He was appointed as the Chief Commercial Officer of OG Esports back in 2021. With this new promotion, he is in charge of a lot more as the CEO.

I’m looking forward to bringing that vision to life with such a passionate and talented team.”

Sanders has experience working as the Head of Esports and Gaming Marketing UK at Red Bull helping the company expand its local footprint. He is also a former professional player and that gives him a unique understanding of how esports professionals operate.

OG has teams operating in multiple esports titles including Dota 2 and Counter-Strike. The announcement reads the org’s next steps would be to enhance the organization’s influence in the esports world.

Sanders has immense experience working in esports having worked in companies such as Dignitas, FACEIT, and Tencent Games. With more than a few years working within OG, it will be interesting to see how Sanders adapts to his role as the CEO. 

OG Dota 2 is currently taking part in the PGL Wallachia Season 3 WEU Closed Qualifier. The team needs a top two placement to secure their spot in the PGL Wallachia Season 3 that kicks off on March 8. Their Counter-Strike team, on the other hand, recently made a roster change adding Spooke to the active roster.
