It was about time.
North American esports organization Evil Geniuses has returned to its original logo once and for all on June 20.
The news of Evil Geniuses rebranding back to its original identity comes as part of the celebrations for the organization's 25th anniversary. On top of that, Evil Geniuses also launched a new VALORANT Championship jersey featuring the old logo, to commemorate the VALORANT Champions trophy the organization earned in 2023.

Why Evil Geniuses switch to the old logo?
The organization abandoned the original logo in December 2019 and modified it again in May 2020, but fans never really enjoyed the identity changes.
Meanwhile, Evil Geniuses has been the subject of much criticism over the past few years after reportedly failing to assist its League of Legends star turned streamer Kyle "Danny" Sakamaki during his mental health struggles and for parting ways with the majority of the roster that won VALORANT Champions last year.
Chris DeAppolonio, Evil Geniuses' current CEO, hopes that bringing back the old logo marks a new start for the organization.
"The original Evil Geniuses logo is one of the most beloved in esports history and its return has been long overdue," DeAppolonio said in a official press release. "This logo means so much to our fans and this community, and we couldn’t think of a better time to bring it back than now as we launch our very first VALORANT Championship jersey and celebrate 25 historic years of EG. Like any team, we’ve had our ups and downs over the years, and while we can’t fix everything in the past, we’re committed to continuously improving as we plan for the next 25 years of EG."
The commemorative VALORANT jersey is up for sale already and the players will most likely be wearing it during the VCT Americas Stage 2 debut against LOUD on Sunday, June 23 at 5 p.m. PT.
