Writer, director, and actor for Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story Jerry Seinfeld first posted on X about the idea for a pop tart-inspired movie back in 2018. Now, six years later, that idea has come to life in the form of a comedic drama film. Here's everything to know about the upcoming film release.

Set in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1963, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story explores the battle between Kellog's and Post Cereal to dominate breakfast across America. Cereals from both companies seem to be the major components of American breakfast at the time. However, a new breakfast pastry created by one of the companies would change the game.

This conflict between Kellog's and Post Cereal to come up with a new breakfast pastry did happen in Battle Creek. But, according to Seinfeld, "the rest of it [the story in the movie] is complete lunacy." There are plenty of references to many beloved classics and Seinfeld has challenged viewers to "count how many movies we ripped off."
