The Boys Season 5 just became a bit more “Supernatural.” Here’s why!

It's Eric Kripke's multiverse, and we're just living in it. Kripke just revealed that Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins will be in The Boys Season 5. This will follow the appearance of Jensen Ackles and in the series as well. Don't forget about Jim Beaver and Jeffrey Dean Morgan!

The Boys Season 5 features Supernatural actors

Supernatural fans, it might be a family reunion of sorts in The Boys Season 5. On Feb. 26, Kripke and the official X account for The Boys revealed that Padalecki and Collins will join this universe alongside Ackles. The announcement also featured all three actors talking to each other before the confirmation that there's work to be done in the Amazon Prime series.

"Hey, Jared. We got work to do," Ackles said in the video, referencing an iconic line between "the boys" in Supernatural. This line was notably said in Supernatural Season 1 episode 1 and Season 15 episode 1!

As a bonus, Padalecki and Ackles played protagonists Sam and Dean in Supernatural for 15 seasons. Other characters, such as Crowley, saw Sam and Dean as "the boys" in that show.

The video on X then showed Padalecki contacting Collins shortly after. In Supernatural, Collins played Castiel — the angel who debuted in the fourth season.

As another Easter egg, Padalecki’s background even featured a Supernatural symbol drawn inside a car! It looked like the Devil’s Trap symbol. In Supernatural, Sam and Dean also drove a 1967 Chevy Impala.

Another interesting Easter egg is that Jim Beaver played Bobby Singer in Supernatural and Robert Singer in The Boys. In Supernatural, Bobby was a major recurring character who took care of Sam and Dean when their father, John, wasn’t around.

In The Boys, Robert Singer served as the former secretary of defense and the former president of the U.S. Speaking of John, Jeffrey Dean Morgan played him in Supernatural. The actor then appeared in The Boys as Joe Kessler!

The Boys Season 5 release date
