Squid Game Season 3 is set to release sometime in 2025. That’s right — it's arriving this year! Netflix confirmed this in a post on social media.

"Everyone say hi to Chul-su," Netflix stated. "Squid Game 3 coming 2025."

What's more, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, director Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed that Squid Game Season 3 was written and filmed back-to-back with Season 2.

"I wrote Seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back, we filmed them back-to-back, and it’s currently in post," he said. "It’s going to arrive sometime in 2025."

Here is the Squid Game Season 3 teaser video. As mentioned, Netflix published this teaser on X. The post included a video featuring an animatronic doll named Chul-su. Interestingly, this doll appeared in the mid-credits scene after the final episode of Squid Game Season 2.

There's speculation that Squid Game Season 3 could release on June 27. A screenshot shared on Reddit indicated this launch date.

Forbes also reported that a video had been mistakenly uploaded and quickly removed from Netflix Korea’s YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, at this year's Golden Globes event, the Squid Game director debunked rumors of a May 2025 release and hinted that Season 3 could arrive earlier.

"I don't think it's May, but it will come out this year," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's coming, it's coming. I'm working on it, so it's coming soon. Sooner than you'd expect."

Therefore, the only confirmed information about the Squid Game Season 3 release date is that it's set for sometime in 2025.
