Some early reviews for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game are in, and fans are rejoicing at how positive they are.

Jujutsu Kaisen just gave fans some food (cooked quite well, too) today, by releasing a new trailer for the show's upcoming season, Culling Game, with an official release date. Not only was this information made public, though, but fans in Japan got to see an early screening of season three, and well... their reviews were pretty great.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans who got an early screening of Season 3: Culling Game say it "outclasses season 2"

Nothing ever beats a good review, whether it's for a movie, TV show or video game. When those early reviews come in and they are positive, it makes any fan's heart explode with excitement. And well, a bunch of people in Japan got an early screening of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game (yes, I am jealous), and their reviews were overwhelmingly positive.

In fact, they all said it outclasses season two in various ways, but especially with the animation. Every frame of the third season apparently rivals season two's peak moments, making the anticipation for the new season even greater.

One scene fans raved about was the Choso vs. Naoya fight scene. While Naoya has not been introduced yet, those who have read the manga know just how epic this fight scene is going to be, and with Mappa behind the animation, Jujutsu Kaisen fans will be eating good this winter.

Release date

So, when does Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game release? While the show's first three episodes will be released in theaters this December at the end of a recap of the Shibuya arc from season two, the first episode will be released on Crunchyroll on January 8, 2026.

This is literally only two months away, as fans have waited two years for this moment. Are you planning on watching the new season of Jujutsu Kaisen?
