Ethan Klein is suing Denims, Frogan and Kaceytron over copyright infringement involcing Hasan Piker video cover image

Ethan Klein just announced he’s suing these three big streamers. Is he in the right?

In recent news revolving around the popular podcaster and YouTuber, Ethan Klein, he is now suing three large streamers for violating the Fair Use copyright law. These creators, Denims, Frogan and Kaceytron all streamed Klein's recent content nuke video on Hasan Piker to their streams, and the popular podcaster is claiming they violated the Fair Use copyright law.

Ethan Klein claims Denims, Frogan and Kaceytron violated the Fair Use copyright law with his Hasan Piker video

Just the other month, Ethan Klein, who runs the popular podcast and YouTube Channel, h3h3Productions, released a long video that was supposed to expose Hasan Piker, the famous political Twitch Streamer, for various allegations.

However, the video somewhat backfired, as many creators stood with Piker due to many of these issues being debunked by many.

However, Klein also claims that his video was a trap for other creators whom he knew would watch it.

In a recent video, Klein states that he feels the three streamers, Denims, Frogan and Kaceytron, who watched his content nuke on Piker on their streams, provided little to no criticism or commentary. His statement is that they just watched the video with their chat, violating the Fair Use copyright law and taking away ad revenue from him.

The Fair Use law states that it is permissible to use limited portions of a work, including quotes, for purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and scholarly reports. Klein believes that his work was used without any of these.

Many question whether this will actually hold up in a lawsuit. We will simply have to wait and see how the situation plays out.

Hasan Piker makes comment on Twitter regarding lawsuit

The popular streamer, Hasan Piker, who was the primary target in Ethan Klein's contact nuke, shared his thoughts on Twitter regarding the recent lawsuit against Denims, Frogan and Kaceytron.

"Washed-up old YouTubers will do ANYTHING instead of taking some time off and going to therapy," said Piker in a post on Twitter. This comes not long after Klein released a video stating he was suing the three streamers.

This all begs the question of whether or not it is ethical for streamers to watch other people's videos on their channel without adding to the entertainment. Is h3h3Productions right to sue?
