Couples and breakups of Single’s Inferno Season 4: Romantic timeline

Single’s Inferno is filled with competitive games, and the entire show is like a big tournament. Winners form couples, but even they are not safe from breakups.

The Season 4 contestants of Single’s Inferno experience ups and downs throughout the show. From cautious moves at the very beginning, through unexpected shifts in the middle, to the final decisions — beautiful couples are formed, but dramatic moments break the hearts.

While it’s interesting to enjoy the full Single’s Inferno Season 4, following all the romantic links may be somewhat confusing. In this article, you’ll find clear explanations of all dates, the couples formed in Paradise, and the breakups that happened in Inferno. It may help you understand the show better and remind you of the best moments from Single’s Inferno.

Single’s Inferno Season 4, Episode 1: Beginning

Everything starts here, so Single’s Inferno Season 4, Ep. 1 is fundamental. Viewers get to know the contestants. The guys and girls on the show face each other for the first time — at least some of them. Two men are immediately forced to make important decisions.

The first game occurred in the men’s Inferno. The guys played in the pool, throwing balls, and fighting each other. The top 2 got the right to select their Paradise dates.

While standing in front of six girls, Yuk Jun-Seo and Kim Jeong-Su had to choose who they would go to Paradise with.

Yuk Jun-Seo & Chung You-Jin

The winner of the first competition of Season 4 Single’s Inferno, Jun-Seo selected Chung You-Jin for his date. The couple had dinner and swam in a pool. The conversation turned out to be quite interesting: You-Jin managed to lead in terms of questions, and Jun-Seo wasn’t as reluctant to talk as he looked to be.

Kim Jeong-Su & Lee Si-An

Jeong-Su finished second in the men’s competition of Single’s Inferno Season 4 Episode 1. He chose Si-An, and they had a great time talking. The guy even asked Si-An to help him with the face mask. And the girl tried to invite Jeong-Su to sleep in one bed.

This date was very impactful for Lee Si-An, especially the moment when Kim Jeong-Su massaged her hands in the helicopter.

Episode 2: Shaken couples

First impressions are very important, and the authors of Single’s Inferno Season 4 know this well. After the first day in Paradise, they placed the contestants in Inferno — Yuk Jun-Seo with Kim Jeong-Su went to the girls’ side, and Chung You-Jin with Lee Si-An went to the men’s one. Thanks to this trick, no couple repetitions were possible.

On both sides, the contestants of Season 4 Single’s Inferno had a chance to talk and introduce themselves to each other. In the end, they had to announce who they wanted to go to Paradise with. If the couples could be formed, they would go for these dates.

Lee Si-An had a date with another guy, and it initiated a heartful drama, which unleashed itself later on.

The couples formed in the girls’ Inferno were revealed in Episode 3.

Jang Theo & Lee Si-An

Jang Theo is an actor, and his full name is Jang Tae-Oh. The guy looks tough and behaves accordingly. He supported this first impression with somewhat bald jokes during his date with Lee Si-An.

Still, the girl liked this time a lot. After dinner, they swam in a pool, and this activity was full of expressive energy. During a late-night conversation, the very body posture of Si-An showed how interested she is in Jang Theo.

Still, the romance evaporated during the helicopter ride to Inferno. Lee Si-An suddenly remembered the hand massage by Kim Jeong-Su, and she was distant and somewhat cold.

Episode 3 of Single’s Inferno Season 4: Romance and challenge

With three girls in Inferno and two guys, only two couples could become real. And that is exactly what happened.

Jun-Seo and Jeong-Su went for their second Paradise night. Bae Ji-Yeon was the only girl left in Inferno, as Kim A-Rin won a little game earlier and went to the men's Inferno.

Yuk Jun-Seo & Kim Min-Seol

During the date with Min-Seol, Jun-Seo looked much more relaxed, as if the guy enjoyed this time quite a lot. The first day’s tension was out, and the dinner turned out to be wonderful for both. For Min-Seol it was more than just the joy of the first date in Paradise: she liked her partner.

After the dinner, the couple went into the pool, and it was a calm and very romantic time.

Kim Jeong-Su & Kim Hye-Jin

This date proved that Kim Jeong-Su is great with women. He is humble and gentle. Kim Hye-Jin introduced herself to the guy, and the two of them just had a nice time together.

However perfect that looked, a crack was already there.

The events of Single’s Inferno Season 4 Ep. 3 did not finish here, and they became super competitive — with a romantic reward, sure.

All the girls had to make it through a long log over a pool, while all the guys were standing there. Lee Si-An turned out to be the quickest and the most skillful at this challenge. As a winner, she could invite any man to dessert and iced coffee.

She chose Yuk Jun-Seo, who let three girls fall into the pool and fell twice himself. Was this invitation because of pity? The mini-date happened in Episode 4.

Single’s Inferno Season 4, Ep. 4: Disaster

The start of Episode 4 was pretty nice. But the later conversations of all Single’s Inferno Season 4 contestants turned out to be rather disastrous.

Lee Si-An & Yuk Jun-Seo

After winning the pool battle, Lee Si-An decided to talk to Yuk Jun-Seo because she had not have such a chance before. In general, they looked like friends who had some tasty stuff together.

One moment was pretty interesting, though. Jun-Seo said that he waited for his reunion with Chung You-Jin, but the girl was surprisingly cold to him. It was confusing for the guy.

Everyone in Single’s Inferno was gathered together around a campfire. They had a task: to give a chocolate piece to a person they like. It was anonymous, and a few pieces could be delivered to the mailboxes.

The disaster was unleashed after revealing how many chocolates each contestant of Season 4 got. The problem appeared not because of the numbers, though.

Potential breakups

The party decided to play Truth or Drink. Alcohol created issues for some people. Here they are summarized.

  • Kim A-Rin openly revealed that she sent one chocolate only, to Kook Dong-Ho. But the guy decided not to answer who he wanted to invite to Paradise and took the drink instead. A-Rin looked shocked and rejected.

  • Chung You-Jin was unnaturally cheerful, as if she wanted to make Yuk Jun-Seo jealous. It did not work at all, and Jun-Seo obviously was confused and just over with this girl.

  • Kim Jeong-Su set in between the girls he was on the dates with before: Si-An and Hye-Jin. The question if he wants to go to Paradise with someone new or repeat a date started his fall — Jeong-Su said “with someone new”. Both girls were shocked. The man’s attempt to talk to Lee Si-An did not save the situation. Jeong-Su tried to explain he did not want to put Si-An in an uncomfortable situation, but that sounded weak.

The next morning, all girls from Season 4 of Single’s Inferno were invited to Paradise. A surprise waited for them: three new men. A drama with these contestants occurred in Episode 5.

Single’s Inferno Season 4, Ep. 5: A new girl and a new guy

After short conversations with all the girls, the new men went through a harsh elimination game. It was announced that only one of them can join Single’s Inferno Season 4. In Episode 5, the girls had to decide on the lucky one — by their votes.

An Jong-Hoon survived that, and later on, he had a chance to pick two girls and go for two dates with them.

An Jong-Hoon & Lee Si-An

They had a nice dinner together discussing their personalities. Apparently, Jong-Hoon and Si-An had too little time together to go deeper into their relationships.

After the introduction, the main topic for Hye-Jin and Jong-Hoon was why the guy chose this girl. They spent nice, even if short time together.

The first day of An Jong-Hoon in Single’s Inferno was challenging but rewarding.

The time in Inferno was also eventful. Single’s Inferno got a new girl: Park Hae-Lin. As a game changer, she brought fresh energy to the show. In Episode 5, the men and Hae-Lin had time to talk and introduce themselves.

Park Hae-Lin chose two guys to go on dates with: Kim Jeong-Su and Kook Dong-Ho.

During the casual evening conversations of this episode, one of the sweetest moments of the entire show happened between Jang Theo and Lee Si-An. When the girl was in Paradise, Theo made a flower ring for her. When they were alone, he gave Si-An this touching gift.

Single’s Inferno Season 4, Episode 6: Hae-Lin’s time and pool mayhem

The new girl in Single’s Inferno Season 4 had two dates on one day, and they were very different.

Park Hae-Lin & Kim Jeong-Su

This was the most unusual date of the entire Season 4 (so far). The couple had some active adventures in the river, including water skiing by the guy. During dinner on a boat, they finally had a conversation.

It was apparent that the initial romantic interest from both sides evaporated pretty quickly. Jeong-Su proved himself being very polite to all women — but when they discover it’s not about them specifically, they become disappointed. He kept thinking about the other dates.

Park Hae-Lin wasn’t too pleased with the date either. She suddenly became bored, even if they talked like friends.

Park Hae-Lin & Kook Dong-Ho

A totally different atmosphere was in the room during this Single’s Inferno date. Hae-Lin enjoyed showing how different she is compared to Dong-Ho. She even teased him a bit. Dong-Ho did not know how to react, but he was curious about this girl.

When both were in a car, Hae-Lin had a little nap, and Dong-Ho took care that the girl rested nicely — even though he obviously wanted to stare at her.

When everyone was back to Inferno, the show proved how cruel it can be.

First, it was a competition, real mayhem. Girls had to battle each other for a snack with a guy of their choice. They needed to take a cap away while sitting on a male teammate. The victorious guy also had a mini-date. Lee Si-An and Kook Dong-Ho won this battle. They chose Kim Jeong-Su and Kim A-Rin.

Lee Si-An & Kim Jeong-Su

The girl wanted to talk to Kim Jeong-Su as they did not have a proper date after their time in Paradise. This conversation proved once again how popular Si-An is. Kim Jeong-Su expressed his desire to go on another date.

Kook Dong-Ho & Kim A-Rin

During this short date, Kim A-Rin confirmed her interest in Dong-Ho once again. She was somewhat nervous because of his date with the new girl.

The end of Episode 6 of Season 4 Single’s Inferno was about choosing dates for the next episode. Some notable moments are the following.

  • Lee Si-An was picked by four men, and she decided to go on a Paradise date with Yuk Jun-Seo. Jang Theo, who expressed his interest openly, was heartbroken — no flower ring helped him.
  • Kook Dong-Ho and Kim A-Rin decided to continue their conversations from the earlier mini-date — and their relationships. Park Hae-Lin, who chose Dong-Ho too, was out.
  • Bae Ji-Yeon and Kim Te-Hwan leaned towards each other from the very first meeting. They were the calmest and the most drama-less couple, so their date was guaranteed.

Single’s Inferno Season 4, Episode 7: Strong couples, but not all

The couples formed in the previous episode had dates in the continuation of Single’s Inferno Season 4.

Lee Si-An & Yuk Jun-Seo

It’s the fourth date in Paradise for Lee Si-An but the first one with Yuk Jun-Seo. The girl invited him for iced coffee after her pool challenge victory in Episode 3. Then, Jun-Seo found a moment to have a private talk with Si-An, where he expressed his interest — beyond being just friends. It looked like Si-An did not expect that feeling from this man, so she probably decided to select him for the date and get to know Jun-Seo better.

While in the car, Si-An talked about her confusion at this point. She had so much fun up to Day 4, and now the situation is complicated for her. Four men out of six wanted a date with her!

During their dinner, Si-An felt more relaxed, and it was time for Jun-Seo to talk about his worries. The guy said he could not express his feelings as openly as his direct rivals. Jun-Seo was relieved and surprised to hear he was chosen by Si-An.

Eventually, both decided to take it easy for now, put away their confusion, and just have fun. It was a good decision! Lee Si-An and Yuk Jun-Seo had a relaxed time around a small pool and a sincere talk before going to bed. Si-An was pretty honest with Jun-Seo, which is difficult for her even with other girls. She openly said she likes Theo most of all her admirers, but then Si-An got overwhelmed with emotions and cried. Jun-Seo still was confident they could come to Paradise again.

Jun-Seo and Si-An ended up sleeping in one bed, hugging under the blanket.

Kim A-Rin & Kook Dong-Ho

The date of this couple had no unnecessary confusion. A-Rin openly declared her interest in Dong-Ho, and she did not give the chocolate gift to anyone else. Dong-Ho has been on Paradise dates before, but it looked like he enjoyed this one the most. They could have a date on Day 2, but A-Rin chose Theo back then.

After the introduction, it turned out that Kim A-Rin and Kook Dong-Ho have something in common. They visit the same business center for work, and they live in the same area. Their occupations are still pretty different: an accountant and a model.

In a big pool and during their time in a bedroom, Dong-Ho and A-Rin got so much closer. The girl was somewhat more determined about her focus, though.

Bae Ji-Yeon & Kim Te-Hwan

For this couple, it was the first time in Paradise. Bae Ji-Yeon was somewhat overlooked by male contestants of Single’s Inferno Season 4 — maybe they felt insecure because of her brave and non-standard look.

Kim Te-Hwan was somewhat clumsy throughout the show, and even the hosts thought he was a young guy. In Episode 7, Te-Hwan demonstrated his other side. The man is 31, and he is a club owner. His slight clumsiness is not immaturity: it’s just his feature as a creative personality.

This date was sweet and pleasant to watch. At some point, Bae Ji-Yeon even hinted how jealous she was when Te-Hwan sat next to the new girl in Season 4 Single’s Inferno. Objectively, the situation with Park Hae-Lin was strictly in Ji-Yeon’s head, and Te-Hwan was never really interested in anyone else.

To seal this wonderful evening, Bae Ji-Yeon and Kim Te-Hwan visited an ice rink. The fun they had was unmatchable!

Meanwhile, there were some other conversations in Inferno, and one of them was certainly a breakup.

  • Kim Hye-Jin asked Kim Jeong-Su who was his first pick, and he named Lee Si-An.

Later on, Jeong-Su had a similar conversation with Park Hae-Lin. The girl expressed the general opinion that Jeong-Su confuses people by being attentive and caring to everyone. The guy repeated to her that he is bad at multitasking, so he choses Si-An.

Episode 8

The most notable moment of the morning in Paradise was how Si-An and Jun-Seo woke up together. The girl let her head rest on the man’s arms. What happened that night?

Si-An cared for Jun-Seo’s hair and then rested on his shoulder during the helicopter ride. It did strengthen the impression that these two are an official couple now. Suddenly, Single’s Inferno Season 4 Episode 8 became even more interesting.

In Inferno, the men had an intense wrestling game. The top 3 could choose girls for a Paradise date — in the placement order.

  • Yuk Jun-Seo won the competition, and he selected Lee Si-An.
  • Kim Jeong-Su was second.
  • Kim Te-Hwan finished third.

The actual dates and the two other couple forming were postponed to Episode 9. Everyone in Single's Inferno had a chance to talk more.

Some pretty important conversations happened in Episode 8 of Single’s Inferno Season 4.

  • Jang Theo called Lee Si-An to his room to discuss their relationship. Yuk Jun-Seo knocked on the door in the middle of that conversation. He invited Theo for a chat — the guys both expressed their intention to do their best to earn Si-An’s heart.
  • Bae Ji-Yeon invited Kim Tae-Hwan for a chat. She wanted to say that the guy has no obligation to name her for the next Paradise date. Ji-Yeon thinks it would be better for them to expand their connections and experience something new. However, if Te-Hwan decides to invite her, the girl would be happy.
  • Park Hae-Lin used this chance to talk to Kook Dong-Ho. The girl openly expressed her interest in the guy and her desire to keep this focus till the end of Season 4 Single’s Inferno. She wanted to know if Dong-Ho wants to go to Paradise with her. The guy promised Hae-Lin to be honest and let her know what he feels about proper consideration.
  • Chung You-Jin wanted to talk to Dong-Ho too. At the very start of their talk, You-Jin declared her intention to win Dong-Ho’s heart. When the guy promised her to decide on his plans quickly, You-Jin asked to not speed up the decision. She wants to go to Paradise with Dong-Ho first.
  • Yuk Jun-Seo invited Kim Min-Seol for a conversation. He wanted to be on the same page with the girl. Min-Seol said she is interested in Jun-Seo and in the new guy, Jong-Hoon. It was everything Jun-Seo asked about.
  • Yuk Jun-Seo talked to Lee Si-An as well. He asked if she’s willing to go on this date with him. The girl said yes.
