WWE has removed Brock Lesnar from the cover of its upcoming WWE 2K24, rumored to be related to a lawsuit against WWE and its former owner.
The Endeavor-owned World Wrestling Entertainment appears to be quietly sweeping one of its most popular, and now problematic, performers under the rug. Rumoured last week to be taken out of the mobile game WWE Supercard completely, it's now confirmed that WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar is gone from the upcoming WWE 2K24.
This alternate cover for the 40 Years of Wrestlemania Edition features a number of past wrestling icons. However, Brock's spot now features John Cena on the official website and on various retailers. Brock Lesnar, WWE 2K24, and lawsuits
The professional wrestling world was rocked by a major lawsuit in the past month, purporting allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse against former owner Vince McMahon. Former WWE employee Janel Grant details years of abuse, threats, and disgusting actions across a 62-page legal brief that is now at the heart of a federal investigation. However, this suit is not just directed at McMahon, but at WWE as a corporate entity.
Included in the suit is accusations that a "Major WWE star and former UFC champion" allegedly was involved with the abuses. This includes allegations that McMahon trafficked Ms. Grant across the company, including to this unnamed star. However, journalists and observers connected the dots and guessed the wrestle in question.
Meaning that it's no surprise that Brock Lesnar is quietly being removed from not only the WWE 2K24 cover, but myriad front-facing WWE avenues.
This includes a removal and deep discount of Lesnar's merchandise, the stripping of his likeness from various video packages on television, and being removed fully from WWE Supercard. One can conclude this means he will most likely be taken out of the game as well. Which, is important, as Lesnar was set to feature in a premiere spot within the WWE 2K24 story mode--for his involvement in ending the winning streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

The WWE attempted to avoid talking about the lawsuit at every avenue, minus an announcement last week that McMahon was officially gone from the company. This includes an awkward moment for current Executive Vice President of Talent, Paul "Michael"Triple H" Levesque.
When asked multiple times about the lawsuit at a post-event press conference, Levesque sidestepped making a direct response. He went as far as saying that he hadn't "read the lawsuit" and wanted to "focus on the positives" of what he called "an amazing week".
