Beast Games Season 2 Episode 1 recap

In this episode, titled "Strong vs Smart Compete for $5,000,000," 200 contestants were split into two groups. One group featured 100 of the world's strongest people while the other had 100 of the world's smartest.

Season 2 began with the strong contestants getting suspended above an arena as trapdoors opened beneath them. They had to climb down a pole, haul up a rope attached to a custom weight equal to one-third of their body weight, and retrieve colored blocks.

"This is literally insane," player Autumn Reign Taylor said.

Without falling, this group had to climb back up and stack the blocks in the correct order. The first 50 competitors to finish advanced further into Beast Games Season 2. The others? They were eliminated.

Then, the game for the group of smart contestants featured a memory challenge involving colored blocks once again. MrBeast built random block towers and knocked them over, giving players a limit to recreate the towers from memory. Anyone who failed to match the tower exactly was eliminated. This further cut the group in half, and by the end of this game, only 100 Beast Games Season 2 contestants remained.

When these remaining contestants entered Beast City, alliances began to form. A major twist then came about as MrBeast offered contestants the chance to take $100,000 and leave the game.
