Here is everything we know so far about Alice in Borderland 3, including when you can finally watch it on Netflix.

In 2022, Alice in Borderland broke the record as the show with the most hours viewed in a week for a non-English show. And now, the most anticipated season is coming to our screens again soon. The first teaser was already revealed by Netflix Japan.

Alice in Borderland 3: Date reveal

One of the most successful Netflix original live-action adaptations already has a date for its third season: September 2025. Alice in Borderland was adapted from a manga of the same name by author Hara Aso. It was confirmed the show would be renewed in late 2023 and now we have an official date.

Cast

As for the confirmed cast, Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will reprise their roles as Arisu and Usagi in the third season. In the trailer, we can also see an unidentified male figure who is likely going to be important for the story.

As for the remaining cast, Miyoshi Ayaka who plays Ann is probably coming back as well after some social media hints she's been giving to fans. According to many, she is the voice talking at the 14-second mark in the teaser.

Others think the male figure appearing in the end is actually Hayato Isomura who played Sunato Banda, an infamous serial killer who took the life of four women and was sentenced to capital punishment and later transported to the Borderlands.

Ending of season two

Alice in Borderland 3 starts after the last final game against the Queen of Hearts, Mira. Even with her efforts to manipulate Arisu, Usagi brought him back to reality and both confessed their feelings for each other.

Mira won the game, but Arisu found out he could "also win" by not forfeiting. This made Mira die by the laser and the main character ended up the game. Or he thought so. All the live players had two choices: either leave the Borderland or stay. Banda and Yaba were the only ones who chose to stay.

In the end, Arisu and the other players discovered they were in the hospital after a meteor destroyed Tokyo and the survivors were sent to the Borderlands. However, something was off because no one remembered what happened. And that is when the Joker card appears teasing the fans about a new season.

We don't know much about the Joker itself. Since there is no more manga material to adapt, everything from now on will be new. The Joker is known to be a wildcard, unpredictable, and even game-changing. Some fans believe it represents more chaos and deadly games; others think the Joker is going to be the villain of the third season.
