It has been a year of different teams and organisations, but 2025 will see GamerLegion make their way into Dota 2.

Early in 2025, Wildcard picked up the roster of Apex Genesis, but as the year comes to an end, the same team will play Dota 2 under the GamerLegion banner. Although it has been a rough year for the players, they have stuck it out through thick and thin. As they jumped from organisation to organisation, they still managed to make it to The International 2025. Unfortunately, their elimination came with the end of the Wildcard road. But that was not the end of their journey.

Now, the five players and their manager find a new home, with a new entrant into the Dota 2 professional scene – GamerLegion.

Having been known in various other esports titles, including Counter-Strike 2, GamerLegion takes a leap into Dota 2. According to their post made via the organization’s X account, it took just a single bootcamp session at their facility to sign the team. The team, still unchanged from the start of 2025, only added a new coach.

Andrei-Vlad “Mangusu” Sateanu, previously the coach of HEROIC through their amazing TI 2025 run, jumps on board with GamerLegion. With a wealth of experience behind him and a team with strong bonds, this could be a great opportunity for this roster to make waves.

The full GamerLegion Dota 2 roster is:

  • Luke “Yamsun” Wang
  • Francis “RCY” Fundemera
  • Victor “Fayde” Zuev
  • Danil “Bignum” Shekhovtsov
  • Paul “Speeed” Bocchicchio
  • Andrei-Vlad “Mangusu” Sateanu (Coach)

The squad retains their manager, Maggie “stresspresso” Hogie, as they quickly begin their preparations for tournaments. The first event for the GamerLegion Dota 2 squad comes in only a few days, with PGL Wallachia Season 6. Then, in December, DreamLeague Season 27 is where the team will make their final stand for 2025.
