After failing to secure a slot at TI11 through the LCQ, Virtus.pro and RAMZES666 mutually decided to part ways.
Eastern European (EEU) powerhouse, Virtus.pro announced that it is parting ways with carry player, Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev. The organization stated that RAMZES666's contract lasts until the end of TI11 and because the team failed to qualify for the event through the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), they had a mutual separation.
The official blog post revealed that VP was initially searching for a carry player with experience and RAMZES666 was there to help them. Despite a strong Tour 3 performance, Virtus.pro couldn't make it to TI11.
Sometimes a group of highly skilled players does not add up to a strong team. Therefore, we made a joint decision to end our cooperation, fully confident that both parties will benefit from it.
RAMZES666 is a well-known CIS prodigy who has 5 Major wins under his belt. He achieved this incredible feat together with Virtus.pro but this time around, he will depart the team to explore other opportunities.
It felt good to go back to the familiar den for a while, but now it’s time to move on. I wish the guys good luck and hope to meet them again in the tournaments.
With RAMZES666 now out of the team, here is Virtus.pro's current active roster:
- Danil "gpk" Skutin
- Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin
- Daniyal "yamich" Lazebnyy
- Egor "Xakoda" Lipartiya
