Tundra still in the house: Joins Entity and qualifies for TI 2024

Topson’s third TI championship dream is still alive!

The last piece of the puzzle is here. Tundra Esports started their road to The International as favorites. However, they lost to Entity on the upper bracket finals, losing their chance to get the first qualifier spot. Despite this unexpected result, Tundra beat PSG.Quest and claimed the second spot for TI 2024 through the WEU qualifiers.

The BO3 series ended with a 2-1 score in favor of the TI winner organization, and featured some unusual picks like the infamous Terrorblade support. This was the first and only time this hero was picked for any role during TI 2024 WEU qualifiers (and lost).

Tundra Esports eliminated PSG.Quest and secures their trip to Copenhagen

Going through the TI 2024 WEU qualifiers seemed like an easy task for Tundra Esports. They beat NAVI Junior and Team Secret with a 2-0 score, making Broodmother look like one of the strongest heroes. But when they faced Entity, their hero pool suddenly fell apart. Neither Clockwerk, Storm Spirit nor Bristleback saved them from Entity's drafts.

Lucky for them, PSG.Quest underestimated their Chaos Knight pick, which helped Tundra Esports win two games.

Entity was the first team to secure a spot through TI 2024 WEU qualifiers

As they said on their social media, you cannot spell Entity without TI. The rising stars' team managed to qualify by beating PSG.Quest, OG and finally Tundra Esports. All of their series went to the third game, but the team looked strong and consistent for the whole qualifiers.

Entity has found notorious success after signing Filipe "Astini" as their head coach, back on May 26. After he joined the team, they won FISSURE Universe: Episode 2, qualified to Riyadh Masters 2024, and now The International. Their success also comes with a mixture of young blood and experienced players. Their qualified roster is formed by:

  • Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov
  • Volodymyr "No[o]ne-" Minenko
  • Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin
  • Vladislav "Kataomi" Semenov
  • Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk
