Some potential threats.
Dota 2's next tournament is already here! DreamLeague Season 23 will not only offer another million-dollar prize pool but a large number of EPT Points. This means that the top performing teams will have a high chance to qualify for the $5 million Riyadh Masters at the Esports World Cup. Obviously there are powerhouses eager to grab the champion title. But there are other teams that can be a potential threat. Here are the best teams to watch out for in DreamLeague Season 23.
Aurora
Aurora is no doubt Southeast Asia's best contender. The team not only flairs in the region but also consistently pulls upsets in international tournaments. The team especially looks good in the recently-concluded PGL Wallachia, finishing in the top 8. Aurora showed immense improvements after welcoming their new midlaner, Lorenof. PSG Quest
Another Middle Eastern force finally joins the fray! PSG Quest has had a tough qualifier season in 2024, just always losing out their tournament slot to Team Falcons. It's hard to blame them - Team Falcons has been a powerful juggernaut this year. But PSG Quest had an impressive show in the online Elite League, placing top sixth. They managed to defeat Tundra Esports, Team Spirit, and G2.iG - looking incredibly strong.
NAVI
It feels refreshing to see this one. The iconic and nostalgic NAVI is here to bring back its old glories. For a long time, NAVI remained average and barely floated in the Eastern European scene. But with a revamped roster, now fielding Yuragi, Sanctity, and Zayac, they are definitely a threat in this tournament.
Now a lot of you might wonder, where is Team Spirit in DreamLeague Season 23? Despite winning PGL Wallachia, they will not be attending this event and NAVI is responsible for that, having knocked them out in the EEU Qualifier. A lot of eyes are now on the black and yellow team.
